Hey there guys, I think I've got a few issues with my compy (G750JX) and I'm working them out..

However, one of my thoughts is reflashing the BIOS, I'm not very confident in doing this and would like some insight on how to do it safely.

What's the latest version?

Should I do this logged in on Windows using Insyde Flash (or what ever program is used) or through the BIOS itself?

If I remember, BIOS 208 is the sweetspot for the JX and 209 has problems. Can anyone confirm?

If I have problems with 209, can I revert?

I've still got warranty, if the flash bricks me, am I covered?

*Sit on chair, swinging hooves back and forth waiting for hmscott* ;x

hello there, you can reflash the bios without a problem, run it from an elevated command prompt and add the nodate flag like this:

then selct the 208 file if you wanna use that again or first try 209 and if that one sucks revert back to 208

I've always used the Asus WinFlash utility on my JZ, and never had any issues.

I too have flashed it via the program above back and forth and had no issues.

So nobody has had problems with 209 on their G750 JX?

Yeah something is really retarded with my BIOS right now. The way how I cannot change my boot order now is not right.

Every time I boot, it keeps going to BIOS unless I turn off Safe Boot + Secure Boot and turn on Launch CSM which I shouldn't have to do.

What is going on here..?
