Just Horrible things happened !!!!!!!!
I dont know where exactly should i start , i tried to make Dual operating systems win 8& 7 in different Boot setup ,but i noticed that Asus stupid motherboard locked this option to make a separated Drive to install windows 7 .... While the middle of installation windows 7 the laptop crashes automatically for unknown error then it deleted windows 8.1 and 7 and the following crash error appeared ( the OME gate is locked by manufacture ) and another disaster happened that SSD hardisk integrated with HDD in 1 drive "930GB" ....

Then I successfully installed windows 7 ultimate 64Bit on my G551JW ! but now another problems appeared that " Most of Drivers are not supported "... Seriously the OS running good as well but the issue is most of drivers from asustek no longer working !!!
So be aware do not downgrade to win 7 EVER , maybe am the only 1 who was too courage to do this ! And now am gonna install windows 8.1 again with missing files of course ....

I need just a request please , if i will install windows 8.1 from official Microsoft edition, that means no drivers will be shipped with clean installation!!! So i have to download everything from beginning! .... I need some 1 who had same model to upload his model Backup with all drivers please instead of doing many ugly instructions ! Is it possible !?

Specific ADVICE : If you are trying to make a Dual-Boot operating systems its quite impossible in this Model .

I Know Windows 8 & 10 are So Ugly ,But Windows 7 is completely unusable to run drivers :(
I really hope ASUS gonna design supported drivers for Windows 7 :( :( :( :( :(

So i have to download everything from beginning! ....
I installed 8.1 clean, without ASUS bloatware. What's the problem?

The problem is windows 8.1 edition was in my laptop before i installed new 1 contains all drivers from Asus ,but now it's empty i have to re-install all drivers manually .

I really confused about this point , when i reset windows 8.1 from pc settings , windows will back to manufacture settings with all drivers installed but now nothing happened . Just an empty windows "leave this aside"

Another problem about installing windows in SSD hardisk .. Now i dont know why the windows integrated 2 hard drives in 1 .... I tried to separate them but still dont know why its even slow when starting up ... Before it takes only 10 seconds to load , now 30 seconds

Try Recovering . There is always Asus Recovery Partition (factory state).

You are correct, there is no recovery partition. Just download drivers and software from the asus page, you get the same 8.1. There is no "special" 8.1 ASUS Edition, it's just 8.1 with asus drivers + bloatware.

MS Restore media 8.1 64 bit (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/create-reset-refresh-media)

this sticky thread cover all clean installations 8 8.1 10

I believe you SSD is 28 GB and used as a cache drive only

dunedune

So if its turned to Cache Drive . So how can i re install windows 8.1 again on it ??? Because my G551JW load even 3 times slower ... With SSD load boot 10 seconds , now it takes 40 Seconds .... Many games affected with Huge Frame rates Drop :(

If you focus more in picture you will see that SSD drive Disabled right ??? Because i tried 2 times installing windows 8.1 pro , When i configure settings to select where to install the OS ,The SSD drive is not shown ... The boot only represent all Hard drivers integrated in 1 drive "930GB" So how can i know if its SSD or HDD .... 3 times the windows installed OS in HDD :(.... Now am trying different methods

According to the link you suggest , I dont Have DVD setup ... i bough the laptop without the Windows 8 CD

Before this horrible crash happened , The OS installed in C drive "373GB" and other drive D "572GB" .... Now i cant separate them in correct way ,I tried Disk Management from control panel to separate SSD from HDD but its Disabled

Good News . The separation Problem Fixed susseccfuly by following procedures I did ....

53575

53576

I fixed this problem by deleting ALL Old partition corrupted files from Old windows 8.1 broken Edition that after that horrible crash occurred ...Then I installed OS in SSD without any problems ^^ , Now my PC returned much faster than Before .... I need another request to extend SSD Capacity by Integrating some HDD Size with it ,But am stuck right now ..... Now the HDD Capacity is 930GB and SDD is 24GB . I want to increase the SSD capacity same before it was 373GB and HDD was 576GB "How?"

err you cannot increase the size of the ssd ... that is it's original size (it came with 1 tb hdd and 1 sdd of 24 gb that you could not see it was a hidden, it did not had any letter allocated).

you deleted everything from the original 1 TB HDD where it had the original windows 8.1 core including the recovery (don't worry, if you install windows 8.1 core or windows 10 home it will activate by default).
you lost the original OEM windows that came with when you deleted all the partitions but meh that is not a problem unless you wanna use that rest thingy

what you can do is use the 24 ssd just for the windows or go back and install windows on the internal 1 TB hdd (it has 7200 rpm and is decent enough) but use the sdd as a cache so it will run faster but not as fast as when it was on the ssd.
you will need to enable it tho (install the drivers etc etc)

OH NOOO!!! So its impossible to get that OEM Back ??? 24GB SSD is not much enough to handle more than 60 programs ! maybe there's an tools to integrate them or something :( .... And what about media files from old OEM ,Still impossible to restore them again ??

Update : For long time searching in google , I found out theres some tools and methods to detect OEM Key .. I used OemKey tweak to detect it but I still don't know where to put it :(

sorry mate but is no for now (i will explain why for now in a bit)

when the lappy came it had a hidden partition named "Recovery", on it it had the initial windows that you installed when you first boot it up and it was used to revert the OS to initial state by using the reset option.
after you installed the windows after the first boot up you had only two partitions C and D.
now after you did the dual boot, i do not know if you deleted anything because you entered and you did another partition or whatever so you can install windows 7, the problem is i do not know what you deleted but now it does not matter.
like i said before you cannot switch to the original windows (for the moment) but you can always search for windows 8.1 core (home)/ windows 10 home editions and install them. there is no need to activate them because they will be activated once you go online by default (the key is stored in bios)
then you can just go to :

http://support.asus.com/Download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=G551JW
and download all the drivers you need for it and install them (windows 8.1/windows 10)
and don't forget to install the Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver and try doing something similar to this:

https://www.evga.com/support/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=59375

and now i will explain to you why i said for now (about the original OEM windows that came with your lappy)

it is possible to get it back if someone is willing to provide a download link to the recovery disk made after the system/ recovery partition files or just the .wim or .esd file from the recovery partition and the rest is kinda easy.
[if you manage to find someone to provide those i can make a recovery windows 8 installation that will be the same like the original one]
but for now, just imo go with windows 10 home, install all the drivers and all and use it

Klausx you still didn't noticed why I tried to go back to Windows 7 ??? The main reason is I Hate Windows 8 & 10 user interface and those 2 OS are so ugly to use ....
So the only thing is left right now is looking for somebody here who had same my model to send his recovery OEM right ???

klausx
11-12-2015, 08:00 PM
yes, if they still have the recovery partition intact they can just make a copy of it (fastest way) and upload it somewhere. from there is easy

i understand mate, we all have our likes and dislikes, i just told you about those options because you can keep the license intact (never tried win 7 on my laptop so i do not know)

ps: the key you have will only work for home version not pro and so on

Dude you don't put it anywhere, when you install win 8 or 8.1 it will be automatically read from your UEFI by the install.
You only need to download and install the version your notebooks came with Core Pro or single language.

http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?76993-Guide-How-to-install-windows-8-8-1-10-The-proper-way-(UEFI-based-installation)

If that thread doesn't help you understand what to do try this one on the Eight Forum (http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/2328-uefi-unified-extensible-firmware-interface-install-windows-8-a.html)

This is the easiest way of getting your 24 GB SSD working as Cache drive (http://www.tall-paul.co.uk/2013/05/01/enabling-expresscache-on-the-asus-ux32a/)again.

So if I followed this tutorial the C Drive will back to 373GB and D drive 565GB ??? ...

And the issue is?
I lost track it seem you formatted your drive if you want C and D or you want C only? it up to you, you can make it either way. 'MiniTool partition wizard (http://www.partitionwizard.com/partition-magic-free.html?gclid=Cj0KEQiAsZayBRCrioKRkYetvc0BEiQAI7 0-AwDiXHp2T3b6y2uZOxK-waG0ofSrF7DTvZIk1_FEBHwaAs928P8HAQ) If you come out with C only shrink C to create unused space then create D in that unused space. If you have C and D just delete D and then expand C into the unused space deleting D left.

Here is an explanation of what partition (http://www.howtogeek.com/184659/beginner-geek-hard-disk-partitions-explained/) are

The 24 GB is for Cache only there not enough room for an OS and Programs that why it had no drive letter.

No it just installs windows, the site I linked is Microsoft. I earlier gave you the link to Asus Support Downloads (http://support.asus.com/download/options.aspx?SLanguage=en&type=1)for your drivers.
