Loaded question, but not intentionally. I bought a G75 (specs below) for my son and want it to really cook. He plays Steam games almost exclusively and likes to "mod" them. The G75 is lagging just a touch. Please let me know what the "best" upgrades are - I have changed components on laptops in the past, but don't know what would be the best stuff to optimize this one. Thanks!

i7-4720HQ processor
8GB system memory
1TB 5400 rpm hard drive
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 965M
Windows 8.1

Yes upgrade to a 2.5 x 9mm or 7mm SATA format SSD. Samsung seems to be the leader. Intel also have no issues. Since you have already upgraded to Windows 10 you can clean install 10 again your hardware will be recognized by MS Activation Servers. Or you can clone what you have both ways work. There is really not much else you can change that will make any noticeable difference. Again post to the Older G Notebooks sub forum for information and answers.
