Hello guys

Quick question.

What is the best option for my G751JY??

OPTION A --> samsung pro evo 512gb + samsung pro evo 1TB

OR

OPTION B --> samsung pro evo 1tb + the default 1tb HDD

I don't know what is the best setup performance wise/ gaming wise/ space wise?

If I have the 2 ssd for example (option A) should I do that RAID something something? (-->total noob...need help with the terminology and how to setup that)

Thanks in advance

Best performance would be with an M2 drive in the M2 slot. Samsung SM951

If you only want to use what you listed then option A is better. The slowest SSD is 5 times faster than the fastest spinner.

Thank you very much! Really!
And if I use both samsung pro evo configuration (option A) should I do those raid configurations?
Or install windows normal way without any modifications?

Thanks

Remember this: G751 has a SATAIII in the same bay as the M.2 . SATA II in the other bay, and in the ODD.

Thanks for the info.
But what are you saying in specific?
I cannot put 2 ssd one in each bay?

That machine is not capable of Raid.

So I can have option A but without the raid stuff?
Ok. Either way considering ssd vs hdd i think it is the best option.

You can put 2 SSD's, but only one port is Sata III, the others are Sata ii and the M.2

So the SATA III (faster) to the SSD 1TB and SATA II for the SSD 512gb for example?

The bay that has M.2 is the sata II or the SATA III?

Summing up can you please answer and fill the following?

In the original configuration...

256gb ssd is on SATA (??) bay that has the m.2 connector.
1tb hhd is on SATA (??)

What are the "??" values? (II and III).

Just to understand properly.

Sorry...i searched the answer...but thanks in advance

The G751's have a SATA II port in the 2nd Bay... yup.

The G751's with an M.2 Port in the 1st Bay also have a SATA III port in the 1st Bay... yup.
