My GPU temps go up to 68c under full load and up to 71c overclocked. Is this normal? I have a G751JL running the latest NVIDIA drivers. However, I don't know if this is me imagining things--my temps were 1-2c lower on official ASUS optimised drivers. Any thoughts?

Those temps are completely normal. the Gpu temps depends on the load that has the gpu. The temps that can hurt your gpu is anything higher than 90 and damage your laptop, but lower than that should be fine.
For example, games that don't are gpu demanding (minecraft, gmod, insurgency, left 4 dead...) in my case the gpu reached 70-75.
In games that are gpu demanding (Dragon Age Inquisition, Fallout 4, Assasins Creed Unity...) the gpu reached 80-87 (and it was because i haven't clean the laptop) after cleaning the gpu temps was between 75-83
Don't worry :D
