View Full Version : What is your G752VY motherboard temperature while gaming?

What is your motherboard temperature on your G752VY? I've noticed that it is quite higher than the CPU/GPU temperatures when gaming.

For example if I play lightweight games (like League of Legends) the temperatures are like this:

CPU: 60-65C
GPU: 57-60C
Motherboard: 65-70C, spiked to 72-74C for a few times

GPU doesn't get too hot under 100% load (65-70C).
CPU gets 75 under 100% load.

When idling the temps are 50-52C each.

Also is there a way to show the GPU fan speed? HWMonitor is only showing CPU fan.

EDIT: Is it possible that the motherboard temperature that HWMonitor and Speccy are reporting is just the CPU package temp? Both max. out at 75 if I run Cinebench. If I only bench the GPU then the temps stay low.

I also noticed that my mobo temps are at idle around 52 C. Can someone enlighten us if this is normal?
I am running on bios 213.

Mine is running very same temps.

Idle temps are around 50-51.
While running 3d mark FireStrike, the mobo peaks up to 76.

When I play Black Ops 3, it gets to 80 C. I do play on ultra, so that may be the case.
On another game called Dragon Ball Xenoverse, it stays at 70 C.
I'm not sure if its because my fan settings are at the stock settings or what, but I think if I use a fan control program that increases the fan performance, I likely won't have that issue.
Though, I do want to mention, I am having a really major issue with the laptop power supply. When I'm playing games like the ones mentioned for maybe 3-4 hours, it gets HOT. Like.. I'd get 3rd degree burns hot.
To fix that, I have to unplug the power supply, but then my performance when playing games drop, which makes me not being able to play because of it stuttering and dropping frames every now and then. So much for a gaming laptop.
I forgot to mention, I've had this issue on BIOS 205, then I updated to 214 because of it started getting annoying. Honestly, I'm not sure it helped. Though it certainly did not get any worse.

While playing Fallout 4 at max settings, my mobo went to around 85 degrees C. Please, can others confirm if this is the same for them with this model? :(

It seems for me that it's getting worse with the temps on the cpu and motherboard. While playing Fallout 4 at max settings, it reached 90 on the MB and 95 on the CPU.
What temps do you guys encounter in demanding games?

I have noticed that my CPU fan randomly speeds up for no reason. Like when I'm watching streams it will stay at 1700-2000 rpm and then ramp up to 4000 rpm although the temperatures are fine (50-55C). I think it has to do with the latest BIOS (213) because I haven't had this issue on BIOS 208, I believe.

Also, Asus has taken down the BIOS files on their website so that may be an indicator:

Also if you try to download the BIOS via the WinFlash tool it will only show you BIOS 206.

They didn't take it down, it's in other OS when you select your OS.
