Hello everyone,

This is just a silly thought. But I read somewhere that the amperage is not constant meaning that the laptop will only draw up to the maximum rating when needed.

So theoretically, if I turn off my G series gaming laptop (hence it's now not working hard at all), can I charge it with an universal power adapter with the same voltage, 19.5, but with a lower amp? Thank you for your time!

We don't recommend using that brick, however if you do let us know how it goes for you.
