Typical, for the OEM models 951 high read speeds and much slower write speeds. I think I would wait for the 960 Pro model, which seem to read and write very fast at least in the 950 Pro remains to be seen since the retail model hasn't been released yet.

repeat that with 8GIB packet size.
Your Sequential Q32T1 speed is actually the highest Ive seen in any SSD on these machines with the exception of those who try and get people to buy into benches that were done with ram drive enabled. The rest leaves a bit to be desired.

I'm very sad looking this results because SM961 is not available in Hungary, tomorrow my 850 EVO 1TB arrive and I really hoped that I will have both drives in same time.
Now I only hope that SM961 will show up soon or Samsung to hurry up with 950 PRO 512GB. Somehow I feel better with his successor.
But performance can't be much better than SM961.
SM951 and 950 PRO are very similar.
With them I will completely cross on low noise/power consumption devices capable to work in laptops if need.
That was task because who knows what will happen for 2-3 years.
Than I will have 512GB for OS, 1TB SATA III SSD for games, 120GB SATA III SSD for backup drive and extraction folder.
That's enough, external HDD for storage if need. It's not bad, looking economic situation in my country I fast evolve on DDR4 and abandon HDD.
4TB WD Black would be bad decision, first I thought 2x 2TB WD Black for space, than I decide 1TB SSD, now is price of Samsung 850 EVO exactly 270E, euro,
good price but still expensive compare to HDD. And that's cheaper version, PRO cost more or other brands.

That's pretty fast, I wonder how hot these 961 drives get; considering the 951 and 950 gets pretty hot already(of course under heavy loads)

The heat up thing is all propaganda hog wash by one reviewer. Ive run the pi$$ out of these drives and never got throttled. To get them that hot you have to hammer the drive with continuous writes for like 20 minutes. Real world, thats not gonna happen.
