Hello everyone!

I bought a 2nd hand G751JT-CH71 and i was happy to see the M.2 slot!! Aside from the bracket a friend of mine is printing for me, i need some help with the actual drive part.

I really want to put a Samsung 950 NVMe 256GB in there but i dont want to drop 200 bucks without knowing if the laptop will support it as a boot drive.

Anyone have any experience with this model and NVMe or know the answer? ASUS Support is like rocks trying to get an answer, according to them i don't have an m.2 port. However, my eyes and 20 years in the IT industry tells me the tech is wrong ;)

I have found more information on here than anywhere else.

Thanks for helping me!!

check out this thread, https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?52776-Notes-before-buying-G751-series, go up the threads for more info

Also search "aeolisio" he has at least one good thread on the issues with G751 and has printed up caddy's for M.2 and a SATA SSD in the first slot. that way you can have 3 drives or SSD's 2 in the first slot and the third in the 2nd slot.
