Hy,

I have a problem with installing a new Samsung 950 PRO 256GB PCIE X4 on a brand new ASUS Gaming 17.3" ROG [, FHD, Intel® Core™ i7-6700HQ (6M Cache, up to 3.50 GHz), 8GB DDR4, 1TB 7200 RPM, GeForce GTX 960M 4GB.

The SSD dosent snow up in Bios, neither in Boot Menu selection, and the only setting for Sata Mode is AHCI.

On both the Producer Website and the GL752VW Manual, the M2 2280 PCIE x4 (NVMe) is listed on the supported SSD list.

I've read most of the threads regarding similar issues, but i haven't seen one in which the ssd wouldn't be listed in bios.

You'll have better luck if you post this in the GL sub forum http://rog.asus.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?200-GL-Series-Gaming-Notebooks

If you search around a bit using the box in the top right corner of the page with the magnifying glass next to it you will find MANY posts of the same thing.

Turns out the G752GLVW in particular shipped with two different mother boards. Some supported NVMe, others do not. Give a shout out to @cl.albert with your serial number and he will be able to tell you if its supported of if you need to go a different route.

Looks like Justin's right. The part of the manual you posted says NVME or SATA. Could be either but not both. Well just my opinion.
