I purchased 2 of this RGB LED strips, they are compatible with AURA and maximus IX code, but the application AURA is unfortunately a bug heaven... It uses 20-25% of CPU and the service freezes a lot, so the lights are turning off when the service is frozen.

So, at the moment I have the strips but they are deactivated, waiting for a software update and bug fixing... I hope Asus can fix these problems...

You can buy a lot of stuff for a fair price on ebay. Just search for '5050 led rgb'.
Some populair options are to buy a 5m RGB LED strip which you can cut on the length you need.

Good luck with it :)

I use two of the CableMod widebeam ones on my Z270G mobo. They come with adapters to match up with Asus header pinout. That's something to keep in mind when looking for compatible ones.

Yes, I can recommend Akasa AK-LD05-50RB RGB LED PC 50cm Light Strip . Nice and bright and the magnetic attachment is pretty strong. Easy to bend in to fairly tight radius. Cyrrently running 4 of them on two sets of RGB headers.
