Hey all - new to computer builds so excuse my ignorance. I just built a new computer and want to see if it is performing as expected. I get lost in all the verbiage and terminology that everyone uses on here so I am looking for a newbie guide that clearly explains what one should do to test the system performance after a new build. I have only selected the XMP profile in the bios to adjust my memory, nothing else is overclocked.
Can someone point me in the right direction on where to find clearly explained directions on how and with what software to test my system, and the steps to take to do it? I am sure there is a guide out there, but I am not sure how to find it without days of searching. I appreciate the direction. Thanks.

ROG Realbench is pretty good for evaluating your overall system performance. :)

Hi sjl4098

You could also install FRAPS to see frames per second while playing games.

Thanks Chino. So just download, install and run it. Based on my hardware, what numbers should I be looking at and then expecting to see?
