View Full Version : G75VW - FIX: overclocking 660m with nvidia inspector using P-states

So a while ago, due to updated drivers and windows versions, overclocking the 660m using nvidia inspector and p-states stopped working. That meant a +135Mhz oc limit. However, after some research, there is a fix :) Go to your nvidia inspector folder, open nvidiaInspector.exe.config using notepad, and change <supportedRuntime version="v4.0" /> to <supportedRuntime version="v4.5" />. And voila, we're back in business :)

As outdated as the 660m is, I still love it's overclocking flexibility! Ran a quick 3dmark Firestrike 1.1 benchmark today. GPU core oc'd to 1250 MHz, Memory by 500Mhz. Score came in just under 2500. That's 25% over stock! Cpu is definitely holding back the score, as the physics score is pretty much dependend on it, and unfortunately it's locked by Asus. But overall, not a bad little GPU :)
