I noticed my laptop makes a slight scraping sound when I tilt it a little. Sounds as if the fan is scraping on something. Not sure if this is common or something that could eventually leads to serious problem. Does any one else on here experience similar issue? I just bought the laptop 2 days ago, brand new.

You don't happen to have any disk in your optical drive do you?

HDD i my G752VM is making scraping noise, even when on flat surface.
Is CPU fan in your unit jumping from 500rpm to 1900rpm (for 1-3sec) while idle, is getting annoying I'm starting thinking about returning (brought it 4 days ago).

Fan speed was steady at idle. Only makes the sound when pickup the laptop and tilt it a little. It would makes the scraping sound for 2 second and goes away.

I am going to go to one of the local store later today to check out the same model to see if it has similar problem. If it doesn't then I am going to return mine.

Ok so I went to check out the same model as the one I bought from one of the local store and did not hear any scraping sounds when I pickup the laptop or tilt it. So looks like something is lose inside my laptop. Going to exchange for another one tomorrow. Thanks!
