I bought my new laptop approximately three months ago, and it's been working well for me. Recently I've noticed it hasn't been charging the battery while plugged in. My first thought is that it's something in the software. I decided to turn the computer off for the night and see how that worked. It charged to 100% during the night, but now it's down to 98% after a momentary unplug and not charging again.

I've seen a few people having this problem with older models, and the solutions seem to vary. One answer I've seen is that it's a fail-safe to keep the battery from wearing out, but I'm not sure if my model has that. The link below is the website where I purchased the computer, with its specifications.

The G752 models all do this to stop the battery getting overcharged and hot.

When the laptop is used heavy with the power lead connected it uses power from the battery as well, I've noticed this when playing some heavy / demanding games.
