Just wanted to let you guys know :)
Seems like the next G-series will be returning to the old vent system where the exhausts are separated...

It's weird that no one is talking/writing about it, rly interested if this one will have the "no-glasses" 3D... was disapointed when they showed the technology last CES but never released such model.
Do you think the graphics card will be something other than GT560M?

Lots of people are talking about...that link has been posted a few times in this forum and on NBR. :)
The G74 vents are separate...not sure what you're referring to as the old vent system....

The vents on this new laptop resembles the vents that G73 had, that's why I wrote that they were separated.
Sorry, didn't see that more ppl had posted it :)

I think its the one pictured at that German site.
I think BrodyBoy refer to this thread ( http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?8969-When-Does-Next-Generation-of-Asus-gaming-laptops-come-out) :)
But it's good that you bring this up, I'm curious if that model comes with the Ivy Bridge or not :)

Ofc, Ivy Bridge is important, but it would be awesome if they put in the GT580M :)

Hmm, well since your on it, perhaps nVidia is working on a new generation of their mobile graphic cards? 600 series or something like that, I think that would be more cool to have in that notebook ;) :P

I wanted to order a G74SX in the next few days, but I'll wait for the new model instead. 2.200 Euros is quite a lot of money and for that, I want the latest and greatest :)

I think it's risky to assume that they are always one and the same. ;)

At the moment, the "latest and greatest" is still the G74.. :p
As to when the successor of the G74 is out, remains to be seen. Maybe mid-year?

I saw that it will have 15 AND 17 versions. Do you think the 17" will be named differently? Also I saw that the release date for this sexy beast is April. I saw this n the comments in the YouTube video. Can anyone confirm this? I was looking to buy the 74sx-dh71 but now that I have seen this, happily I did, I want to wait. This laptop looks so much more aesthetically pleasing.

I think that the 15" will be called G55 (also confirmed) since it's a new outfit and specs as the youtube video shows, and about the 17" I think that will be called G75. (Think about the G50 series is 15.6" and G70 series as 17.3") ;)
But about when they release this new notebook, I don't know. If there is any issues with the Ivy Bridge, then the release date can change and you will have to wait longer before you can find this in the store.
