We all know the feeling of buying a new laptop, and having to uninstall our way through loads of bloatware to get our new system as minimal as possible to extract the most performance out of it. At Republic of Gamers, they understand that bloatware is more of a hindrance than anything to the enthusiasts who can easily download and install themselves what they want if they so desire. Which is why PureOS is now a thing, and it will be available in certain regions.

For regions without the PureOS option, bloatware has also been cut down with a list of apps removed. The apps that they removed include:

Total recovery pro (removed)
Cyberlink power director 12 (removed)
Cyberlink photo director 5 (removed)
Asus webstorage (moved to giftbox)
TeamViewer (moved to giftbox)
Asus Hipost (moved to giftbox)
Asus touchhpad writing (moved to giftbox)
Dropbox (moved to giftbox)
Evernote (moved to giftbox)
TripAdvisor (moved to giftbox)
Twitter (moved to giftbox)
Foxit Phantom PDF (moved to giftbox)
MusicMaker Jam (moved to giftbox)

As you can see, a large portion of the bundled software is now in the ASUS GiftBox, allowing you to choose whether you want it installed on your ROG system. Less bloat, more space for games! Yay!
