The problem with the G73 series and laptop coolers is that the G73 already does a great job of cooling, and that underside heat is minimal. It's not these are Macbook Pros ;)

Cooling with the bottom panel open is NOT recommended since you're asking for lots of dust collection!

No one said the G73 had problems cooling... MAC?...

The G73 has the best cooling out there for laptops.. Although there is problems with the G73.... JH, JW, series, "hope the G73SW will be fixed."..

A google Search will show there are cooling problems. Seems like Asus could have done a lot better job on the "pasting" job on the heatsinks/heat pads on the cpu and gpu... "$1600+ JW-XT1 1/2/11" Still a solid laptop one month in.!

On to the Coolermaster SF19 Notebook cooler, "Cooler Master SGA-6000-KKYF1 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834997935&Tpk=SGA-6000-KKYF1)", it has a 4 port usb 3.0 HUB with 2X 140 x 140 x 25 mm cooling fans. CFM?

The JW has a 3.0 port, in turn would be nice to have a hub for your other 3.0/2.0 desk items. To only disconnect 2 cables, power and USB and go with your JW, SW, Jh would be nice.

I bumped this because i would like to see more pics with the G73** "JH,JW,SW" on it.

Yes it is over priced, but as far as i have seen its the only thing out there that offers a nice cooler and USB 3.0 hub.

EDIT:
newegg, 79.99 + shipping 2/1/2011

Does anyone know a passive (no cooling fans) stand for the G73... Something, light, no more than 2 inches high and preferably in aluminum. I need it so I can use a G73 on my coffee table without my wife worrying about it. Of course, if it has a USB 3.0 hub that would be even better.

EDIT:

I think I found what I was looking for - The Cooler Master Notepal U3 (http://www.coolermaster.com/product.php?product_id=6671) - It can be used with or without the fans. They also make a Notepal U2 which comes with only two fans, but I think it's a little too narrow for the G73. With the U3 without the fans, it should be easy to attach a narrow USB 3.0 hub underneath it using the ventilation holes. I'll wait a couple months as these USB 3.0 hubs will become more common and inexpensive.

Attaching/MODing a 3.0 hub is one thing..

Have you found any nice 3.0 hubs that is affordable?

The cooler you found is a great find, but price for it +3.0 hub...?

Is it worth it?
