hy all

I got my asus G752vs kbl gb367t since few days , since two days i updated the bios to g752vsk 302 and i dont know it was the correct bios or not ??

the laptop run flawlessly but i think the booting time is abit slow ( 30 - 40 sec ) and this issue i think not related to bios update since it was happen before update..
anyway , I just want to know my bios is correct ?

I don't think it would have loaded if it wasn't compatible. To verify you have the correct one go to Asus Support Downloads and check the downloads for your notebook. I see it the latest if the same one you loaded.https://www.asus.com/us/support/
I always advise against using Asus Update especially for BIOS update. To many horror stories over the years. Your far better off not taking any chances and updating your BIOS from with in the BIOS using EZFlash.

thank you for the respone

I contacted Asus and look like my model VS not VSK , but they told me vs & vsk are the same bios ..
i tried to update vs bios which is 310 over vsk bios 302 it give me error " bios not compatible to the device"
also i found the boot slowness is due to reading from bluray drive so i removed the disc and now it s around 12 to 14 sec .
I think i will stick with 302 bios since there is no issue

302 is stock, 306 is auto updated to through ASUS Updater for keyboard. 310 is "performance optimisations" unsure of this one..

Go 306. Just to ensure it doesn't do it while you're not looking.

Hi,

It sounds like our ASUS sales may normally just refer to the G752VSK model with Kaby Lake cpu (if you need help checking the cpu, let us know, but you can also check this on Intel's website although there are easier ways) as the G752VS model as well to keep things simple, but the G752VS bios cannot be used for the G752VSK model and vice versa, so the system will stop you from flashing the wrong model bios (it's still a good idea to get the correct bios and avoid taking any chances, of course).

When you flash the bios, you can also check the bios model before you flash once the new bios file is loaded.

If anybody is interested, the FAQ below tells you how to check using the 'F12' key in the bios to check the bios model or with dxdiag in Windows.

Hope this helps and apologize things couldn't be more straightforward!
