So my girlfriend got really intoxicated one night, went to go to the bed,and ended up laying on my system instead, screen busted and was no longer usable.I replaced the original screen in this system with one from another website but it fails to support G-Sync functionality or refresh rates up to 75hz.I messaged Asus support via chat, and all they do is recommend that i ship it to them and let their service center repair it,to which i said no and declined given the upgrades and the personal software on this system.I asked where i could purchase this exact screen or panel from,to which they stated they could not provide the end user with an external site for parts or replacements.I then asked if i could sign some type of waiver,or release of liability allowing them to help me with just a company i could order the panel from,to no avail. So now i'm stuck with a screen that works fine, but it cannot refresh past a rate of 60hz,and that really hurts some of my games visuals given my gfx card outputs anywhere from 60-100 fps in almost any game at any setting.Where can i find a screen for my system,or is there some other option?I think my warranty is void because the original screen became busted, and i replaced it myself,so i know how to do the replacement,i just dont want Asus to do it and charge me for it considering it is probably out of warranty.Any help, link,or explanation would eb amazing considering i have spoken with Newegg.com about this, and they cannot help,i have spoken with Asus customer support, and they refuse to help, also Amazon.com,and they have no options either. Please someone lol?

I can't help with the screen but I just wanted to note that it is pretty poor customer service to not tell the end user where to get a replacement panel.

The panel which was installed must have a serial number or model number on it somewhere, can you identify the manufacturer from this number and maybe then contact the manufacturer and ask who their approved suppliers are?

Screen Model-LP173WF4-SPF3,manufactured by LG,also i have a reference # from Asus: Asus LCD 17.3' FHD WV SLIM EDP>>>>>18010-17330500.Problem is,when i look to purchase this screen,i email the company providing it and they cannot determine if it supports G-Sync functionality,so i do not purchase it.I can find plenty of similar models and compatible panels, just nothing that supports G-Sync.I will try to contact LG and will get back to this thread with the outcome/details,thanks for the suggestion.

Ah I see your problem. I'd expect the same model number would support the same functionality, but you don't want to risk purchasing and then find that it doesn't.

Best of luck with LG. I've always found them to be very good with customers.

Yes the issue is that some of the G751 came with Gsync supported and some didn't, some people sent there G751 in to Asus repair for this GSync issue to be resolved there was a waiting list as I remember it. So not knowing if the issue was resolved by a MB mod or a Screen Mod I have no idea. Since all this went on only couple of years ago you might look back in the threads a ways or someone that still has there G751 that had been fixed to use GSync will pop up here and advise you. You might PM cl-albert he should perhaps have an answer or advise for you.

Replaced the screen again with a Samsung LCD 17.3' FHD WV SLIM EDP>>>>>18010-17330500.Installed everything is perfect, nice screen actually, but no refresh rate options to enable past 60hz,and no gsync option whatsoever in the Nvidia control panel. So i read, and read alot more, and found a thread discussing enabling gsync after monitor replacement. They reccomend I reset BIOS back to default values and restart and then the options will be available. However i restored defaults and still no gsync. My system gets over 120fps in DOOM on max settings, yet i can only refresh up to 60fps given my screens native refresh rate in the settings. How am i able to modify what driver windows loads that enables the gsync function,or how could I modify the the data that allows gsync on my system,I have been trying for over 6 months now and failing trying to repair this issue. I know I have purchased an original screen for this system ROG G752VM RB71,but again no support from asus regarding this, and no support from screen distributor.

No I actually am still unable to find out how to enable G-Sync with this system and I have physically replaced the panel two times now. It has to be the exact screen that was originally within the system or something about the bios will whitelist it to disable g-sync so average panels are unable to use it from my understanding. I purchased two seperate panels from two different vendors and they are compatible, but unable to refresh faster then 60hz. My system is a Asus ROG G752VM-RB71,and ever since the original screen became broken,I have been unable to use G-Sync whatsoever. If you find someone who knows where to purchase an original screen or one with G-Sync that is compatible with these systems,it would be amazing because it's been over a year and I am still unable to get any kind or type of help finding an original panel in my case the 17.3 IPS FHD WV EDP manufactured by LG, LP173WF4-SPF3,it has to be those exact model numbers in my case to allow the bios to enable the monitor to G-Sync. But i have found no company, vendor,or distributor that sells that screen.
