Not sure, seems better than my scores with an i7 8700k.. Before bios patch I was getting I believe 115k in image score, not after microcode bios update I get 70k image scores..

The rest is around the same, but after that recent bios update it tanks the image score.. My friends 3930k gets higher image scores than my 8700k..

I'm using a ROG STRIX Z370-E.. 2666 corsair ram 16gb..

My scores are under NoPhate on leaderboard if you search for them

You would have to list every component of the two systems to compare properly.

If you reset your system to stock what happens?

Different storage...different OS. If it is easy for you I'd reinstall OS. I once had low image editing that was due to corrupt OS.

That is both systems? They are identical? same BIOS drivers etc etc ?

In the screenshots above I can see different CAS timing already.....16 vs 17

It is possible it's memory...maybe use memory benchmark in aida 64 to compare memory speeds on the two systems?

Both systems have same SSD and both have latest 2.3 driver from Samsung?....and have similar speeds scores?

You can also try extracting latest RB from a fresh download...

How many times have you run RealBench? Run it a few times and check the average you get. Anything running in the background?

Yes, I understand the problem but it is impossible for me to diagnose on the other end of the internet.

I can make suggestions and ask questions but you have to answer the questions and let me know the result of the suggestions.

Now for example I can see in those screenshots the systems are not the same...one RAM 16-18-18-36-2T the other 14-14-14-30-1T

Ram makes a difference...not that big a difference but still you have to compare like with like.

First thing you should do is delete the RB folder and your previous download.

Then download fresh zip file of RB from this site.

Then unzip the RB folder and place it on the C drive or desktop.

Then run RB and see what happens.

Also when you run a 15 minute stress test with RB is your system stable?

OK understood...so it seems the system OC is stable and a fresh RB folder has no effect so we'll have to look at OS and drivers and storage.

When is the last time you did a clean install of Windows? Is the Windows version you are on a clean install or an upgrade from previous versions.

Your 950pro is your (C:) drive? Have you run an ssd test to see if performance of the SSD is as expected...

OK so that looks good...and I'm running out of ideas.

I guess you should set BIOS back to F5 defaults and run again just to see if the result is the same more or less at stock....

Your RAM is set up using XMP?

The system you are comparing to is running same version of windows?

Only thing I could find here was this for such a large difference https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?89791-RealBench-Image-Editing-score-in-Windows-10

What is your exact kit of RAM?

and the other machine you are comparing it to?

Well there do seem to be some wildly different scores about looking at the table....but there are so many different versions of RB on there it's hard to tell

I get 235000 on 8 cores @ 4.6GHz 3200 ram...so 265000 for six cores even at 5...who knows

I'm running out of ideas

The Meltdown patch patch is hitting intel cpus hard for some realbench scores image editing being one.

P9600 15% slower "Image Editing" & 3% slower "Encoding"
5300 (OC@3.1G) 18% slower "Image Editing", 32% slower "Encoding" & "Heavy Multitasking" 31% slower compared to Pre kb4056892
i7 5960x @ 4.4Ghz 32% slower "Image Editing", 9% slower "Encoding" & "Heavy Multitasking" 8% slower compared to Pre kb4056892

On the other hand my AMD Phenom II x4 840 & FX8350 systems are actually slightly faster post kb4056892.

The microcode update is also hitting intels hard for HDD speeds

https://1drv.ms/i/s!AtdIXtP0ECLm0UaF1RQiOWqZJLgC

I think you can figure out what is pre and post microcode on I9-7900X
