I don't see how the RAM has anything to do with this. Sounds like a faulty motherboard, I would file an RMA for it if it's still under warranty. I don't see that it could be anything else, the slot just isn't working.
Games nowadays are tricky as well. My friend's laptop can play Dirt Rally just fine, but can't play Rocket League even at the lowest settings with a smooth FPS. A lot depends on how good the developer is at optimizing their game.
This really looks awesome as far as the visuals go, not entirely sure that the game is going to be that fun to play since you're essentially just grabbing around into the air, but looks like a really cool use of the technology which is all you can ho...
