I also have this problem...I didn't know that screen could be reduced or disabled. It's not a huge delay overall, since I'm not restarting my computer constantly. But still it would be good to at least reduce the time the page is shown for.
Yes, according to the manual only the front panel output supports SonicSense Amp.The back output are line level outs to powered speakers, so you will have the best output on headphones with the front panel output.
