I didn't know that about the cut corners fitting in square hole. The big problem is that I can hardly see the cpu 12v sockets on the mainboard because of their location. So I can't tell if it's really inserting properly. And I don't want to force it....

The pins on the cable are in a different position than the socket on the mainboard. There's no way to plug it in.
