Edit: now it is CODE:92 Test NVRAM

With my Intel 4port lan card the same.

The X399 platform unfortunately seems to have serious PCIe bus issues so far. There are other common cards like USB controllers that don't POST either. A lot of these issues have been reported with other X399 motherboard models as well, so I'm unsure of if this is directly Asus's fault or something with AMD's base firmware (or a combination of the two). I've had trouble getting either Asus or AMD to acknowledge via forum posts or support tickets.

Someone from Asus Read this?
Itīs a big issue for me, buying a Rig for 2500€ and my hardrives are not accessible over my raidcontroller.

Set Cpu link to pcie 1.0 donīt help.
Insert the Card to Pcie 2.0 from chipset no boot
    CSM settings ?

    Time to next bios update?

Donīt ignore the post may help.. .

Since I suffer from similar issues, I sympathize but I doubt you'll get a response here; every one of my posts has been ignored as well as my support tickets. Sadly, it took leaving a 1-star review on the board to get a response from ASUS, and that response has amounted to nothing of value so far. I'm nearing the end of my RMA window personally, and at this rate I'll be packing it up to send back :-/

Sure the platform is 30 days on the market.

I understand that there were Bugs... a simple comment from a Community manager like : We know an working on it, here a beta Bios with a workaround.

I miss the days where beta Bios accessible for all from the Public Asus FTP Server....

Totally agree. I've said that multiple times on these forums and on AMDs (both seem to like to ignore inconvenient posts on their forums). It was pretty sad that when I finally posted a 1-star review after being ignored for 2 weeks, they can respond to that within 24 hours... but you can't get a response from support either here or on the forums - despite employees posting here regularly. Ironically, when I posted my review, most of the other negative ones said the same thing about being ignored by support after filing a ticket. Not sure what they teach customer service agents these days, but if I end up having to return the board I'm never buying ASUS again. And I say this as a long time customer since the ASUS P2B in the 90's.

Try enabling CSM and see if that changes things. I have seen the exact same error codes when using non-EUFI compliant add in cards when UEFI is enabled. Changing the motherboard CSM settings to legacy fixed the issue, but I ended up flashing the BIOS on the add in cards to a UEFI compliant version and UEFI works correctly now.

+1, have the LSI 9650 SE 8 port edition. Same issues as noted above. Hope ASUS gets this fixed fast.

i have Tested Beta UEFI 603 still not POST.

For all with this Issue Please report it in the Bug Report Form.

I donīt understand why they fix an USB 3.0 addin card on a mainboard with so much usb3 onboard.

Probably because I posted a 1 star review on every major online retailer specifically noting that the model number that they fixed was broken among my other criticism. Magically, that was what finally got me a response from ASUS as well after being ignored for weeks.

uSB pci-e cards are important for people that use virtualization, as its the only way to have native USB ports on your VM. If you use the host ports, you have to pass each device through an emulation layer on a device-by-device basis (which has problems with certain types of devices), and you can't hotplug things like you'd normally be able to do.

People running KVMs that want to give the whole card to a guest VM for hot plugging.

Well I have done some research that may be worth looking at for info.
Some modern systems have a dislike for these RAID cards.

    https://forums.lime-technology.com/t...m-not-to-boot/

However some tape fixes you right up.

Agree, it's a headscratcher. I filed the bug. Given how expensive this board is, I certainly hope that ASUS will come through and make the quality of this board live up to the premium they are charging for it.

I tried covering B5/B6 with electrical tape like the post suggested, but so far no luck. Same issue. Would be curious to learn if others made this work?

Reported for replication. Not sure if they have these cards in the test lab, or if this is on AMD's side.

Tried 0801 and it did not have an impact on the issue reported in this thread - with or without the tape!

Something new from the guys at the test Lab?

Too bad that the Board donīt support raid5 with AMD RaidExpert2 on the Sata Ports so i can bridge over the waiting time with this.

Not sure if this helps. I had the NVRAM 07/94 code error for days on bios 701 and 801. I finally gave up and dismantled my hard tubing water cooling system and removed my amd Rx Vega gpu to the first slot PCI-E 16. I have a VGA raiser cable for the GPU but it wasn’t long enough for the first PCI-E slot so I used the second PCI-E 16 slot. No more code errors after that. Not sure if it’s a faulty raiser cable or the fact that the MB requires you to have the GPU in the first slot. Regardless, if your using any kind of hardware that’s having issues other than the first PCI-E lane, I would look into it.

The board donīt like Riser Cables and any other addons exept Graphicards, the 10g Ethernet or some USB 3 cards .

I have tried all slots for the Raidcontroller card.

No Luck the i am buying this to have a nice Workstation full of adoncards and now i have a buggy crap system... for 2000€

Anyone tested pcie Addoncards on new Bios 901?

Is it possible that new Agesa 1.0.0.4 can fix the issue ?

Uh, hi guys, I have the 9361-8i, and it's working for me (was a PITA to install as usual, but that comes with the territory). Latest (800) bios for Xenith, latest firmware on the 9361-8i, install without using the Intel SAS expander (if you have one), using Windows 2016 Standard.

Now, the various Ethernet controllers, they are a mess (can't find the Intel one even with the latest Ethernet Adapters CD), and something is missing from the Bluetooth and WiFi (like it's installed, but there are additional devices that need drivers...). Aside from that it's stable, running at 2666Mhz at the moment (had it at 29--Mhz, but I'm thinking a thermal issue slowly made it unstable).

The final trick to getting the RAID-1 (for the OS) to work (aside from giving Windows the driver on a USB stick, it needs that; and setting it as a boot device in the RAID bios) was resetting the actual RAID-1, so they'd be in sync (I mean, I had done it way earlier before, but Windows was throwing me out of Windows setup, which eventually reminded me that that happens when the two are not perfectly in sync).

Oh, and just because it was getting egg-cooking hot, I've put a fan (NoiseBlocker) near the heatsink, so it cools down some.

My video card is plugged into the second PCIe 3.0 slot (thank you Noctua), and the RAID card into the third PCIe 3.0 slot.

I mean, it is a 3.0 card, might as well, take advantage of that.

    @CaptainFist

I've looked up the specs of your RAID card, and I am here to tell you that it's time to let it go...

It does 3.0Gb/s; current cards do 12Gb/s. Let it die. If you need more ports, get a SAS expander; I swear to you, the one I have works with SATA drives as well; it also does multi-link (plug multiple connectors from the RAID card into the SAS expander).

Hi there, I've signed up to ask you a couple questions.

I have a LSI/Avago 9267-8i. I plugged this in to my Zenith motherboard and it did carry over the older array I had before on a previous motherboard. Settings must have been stored in the raid card. However I need to re-setup 2 other raid 1 arrays.

I cant for the life of me get to the WebBios…… Any help would be appreciated!

I see the post message for pressing Ctrl + H to get there, but it never loads the WebBios to configure the array.

Looking for any help. I've tried the Legacy CSM bios options and setting all from UEFI to Legacy. Unsure what to do as you cant seem to make arrays using MSM (Megaraid Storage Manager. that I know of unless there is something i'm doing wrong.

    Thanks for any help,
    Chris
