10-16-2021, 10:16 AMxtremefunkyR6EE Device Manager with lots of uninstalled drivers - but which?
Hey guys,
basically, after every windows new installation, my Device-Manager looks like, like in the picture below.
Sure I can install random drivers, till I got the correct one. But as we all know. ASUS itself provides
old drivers on their website. What I want to say is: does anyone know which drivers exactly are missing which
cause this behaviour?
I would be very pleased if someone has an answer to this!
Already installed Chipset driver, if someone wants to suggest it.

Download the chipset drivers from the cm support, these are mainly the ones missing. but I advise to install all the original drivers of the motherboard from the site. Then Windows update will put the necessary updates.

I had the same issue:
what solve it for me:
1. go to this post: https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthrea...x-4xx-5xx-6xx)
2. see the first few lines in first post:
"
Intel Chipset Drivers :
Package : 10.1.18836.8283 WHQL [28/07/2021]
Download : Link
Install/Update Process :
Launch "CHIPSET_Intel_vxx.x.xxxxx.xxxx.exe"
[X299 Only] Install this add-on driver : Link (Right click on "Install.cmd" > Run as administrator > Automatic restart when install is done)
"
install as advised:
1. fist the common drivers: "Launch "CHIPSET_Intel_vxx.x.xxxxx.xxxx.exe"
2. the X299 add on drivers
that solved it for me. -

FWIW always install the chipset drivers before you install anything else. Install OS, Install Chipset, Install MEI then have at it with the rest.
