Rampage V Extreme not seeing RAID all the time

Hi,
I have an Asus Rampage V motherboard and I recently upgraded my Adaptec RAID card to a 7805 froma 5805. The issue I'm having is that when the PC reboots, sometimes the RAID card isn't showing up. I had this issue to a degree with the 5805 but for some reason, the 7805 seems to be detected less so. Oddly enough, if I go into the BIOS, I can manually select the device for boot although it won't show up on the right-hand of the screen in the EZ Mode boot priority window 100% of the time. Occasionally, I can see it in the boot priority however, even then, it still won't boot to the RAID card. I have the most up-to-date BIOS version that was released late last year but this crazy buggy behavior is a pain.
Is there anything I can try to force the motherboard to accept the RAID card and permanently save it?
