Mate, I have used ASUS for a decade now and swear by them technology and efficiency wise. I was even into overclocking in my earlier years and they are a dream.
AMD/INTEL is just a preference, ASUS excel at both. I love the fact that they have branched into cooling and PSU, hopefully, RAM is next on the cards.

They are great with any RMA and technical support.

If you are going for RGB side of things, I wouldn't really recommend them at present. For me it's their only downfall, and when I mean downfall, they just don't have their act together yet. This is my only negative.

If you can squeeze it into your budget, I would go for an M2 SSD for your primary. You can partition it if necessary and have ample room for your operating system and your favourite game if that is your thing.

If your budget is tight, 16 GB of RAM is sufficient for nearly every game out there. You would be surprised at how much RAM you actually use. And unless your planning on overclocking, you could save a few dollars with just a plain 8700.

    Just my opinion.

It looks like you haven't got the IO shield all the way in. Most of them need a firm push to pop in right.

Then I just read that it comes pre-mounted. Have never seen one like it. Can you unmount it and mount the shield into the case??

You should test the components work together on the MB box before you put the components in the case! Rushing a build is the surest way to problems.

When you go to mount in the case...place the standoffs and make sure they are tightened down. Remove necessary GPU covers from case.

Then gently slide the IO shield into position with the MB at a slight angle...i.e. opposite side to IO shield 3cm higher. The IO shield should gently fit into IO space as you keep an eye on standoffs. At no point should you fit or tighten MB screws. The MB should fit IO panel and lie over standoffs if it fits. If it doesn't send the case back...simple. If you force the MB and tighten screws on a tense board you will break it.
