    Reset BIOS.
Downgrade to older version of the BIOS.

It won't be the battery/GPU causing this issue.

Apparently this code "f9" is related to RAM. Something about it not being compatible with the board.
I would try 2 sticks of memory in A2 and B2 memory slots, and if it works just send it. Your wife "probably" doesn't need the entire 32GB of memory.

    Good luck!

thanks for the reply, the memory used to work with that board and CPU with no problems. when I first put it together for her I installed a cooler master hyper 212 cooler I had to take off the backplate which was glued to the board I pride it off gently with a screwdriver put on the cooler master backplate. and that heatsink always was too tight on CPU. so I got her an MSI water cooler it uses the backplate that came with the motherboard when I put back on the original backplate I noticed there was a few holes in the insulator the board could be shorting through those holes I'm going to use electrical tape to fix the problem. only slots A1 and A2 work B1 and B2 are dead

I would take some photos and post them up on here. You might've killed this board.

I gave my x-wife my old parts a crosshair vi hero and ryzen 1800x, 32gb 3200mhz ram
starting a new thread so I won't have to look for old thread, anyway could not get the system to work in dual channel only in single-channel tried everything I think the second channel on that board is dead. I may have bent the board too much trying to get the backplate off since then I got her a new cooler so I won't have to take off the backplate. now I bot her a new crosshair vi hero wifi and going to put it in Wednesday. I hope all works out if not then i wil RMA the ram
