Where I'm at, one is at the mercy of the big box stores. Even on Amazon, many of the machines are not available and at the local Staples, the ASUS Rog I'm interested in is not available and hasn't been for months. It's a new model but obviously, ASUS is not cranking them out very fast because of the chip thing, I don't know. I don't believe ASUS per se ships, do they? Anyway, I'll do some homework although I don't know if in the end, I'll get very far.
The model I pointed out earlier and you marked bs in red, would you buy it if you were in my boots?
    Thanks for your input!

    Windows 11 supported AMD processors

If you do a control F search it has the FTPM chip meaning that it's software based either handled by the processor or an onboard firmware.

This is a brand new board. You don't have to ask yourself if it has TPM, but rather will it work with Windows 11 ? Best Buy says on the page that the board can get free (LOL) upgrade to Win 11. If best Buy says you can, well, there you have it!

LOL, Anyone that has windows 10 can get a free upgrade to Win 11 :D

It's people with older boards that are asking themselves will my laptop work with Win 11. It's still not fully clear yet.

The CB model is a bilingual board (French Canadian) with yes 144hz screen. I have an old ROG G46VW that won't run win 11 (maybe) and I don't have a 144 Hz screen and it runs fine. Sure if you compare a 300hz screen well, of course it will be a lot better but that has to be your decision. No one sees 1 thing exactly the same.

I actually did have to ask the boys at Bestbuy over and over again if it had the TPM chip, simply because a couple said no and then another one said yes.
Finally, the Superior said yes and updated their site regarding that particular machine. When I began asking the question, there was nothing there that said anything about it being able to update to Windows 11 - only after considerable dialogue (or trialogue) did they make it clear.
Now it's me doing the LOL!!! ;-)

I don't think it has a chip, but it doesn't matter it does have a firmware.

Can you give me your source for that?

I can tell you without a doubt that it's TPM ready. I can't tell you if it has the chip or the firmware.

All new computers that run Windows have TPM chip or firmware

That was the part mentioning ''I don't think''

Thank you for your kind reply. Is the TPM chip the better way to go or would you say the Firmware or does it make any difference.

I have a ROG STRIX Z590-A GAMING WIFI

No chip just firmware. Windows 11 runs fine.

Doesn't make any difference in your case. You won't even use Bitlocker. :)
