    Windows Update Forces BIOS Update
Soooo, bought a new G731GU-BI7N9 with 32GB RAM and 1TB SSD. Once everything was setup I allowed Windows Update to start it's updates. It found a new BIOS (307) and apparently tried to install that along with the Windows Updates. Maybe doing it this way always works, but on my rig it caused Windows to corrupt and the SSD became unbootable. ASUS wouldn't do anything because the SSD is upgraded. Fortunately the amazon seller re-imaged the SSD for me and I'm back up. If Windows Update forcing BIOS updates is going to be a thing from now on, can't ASUS flag it somehow to be a stand-alone update? Meaning no other updates can be installed at the same time?
