Crosshair VII Hero Essential Info Thread

I just purchased a Ch7 last night for $159.99 new 3000 Compliant from Microcenter.
I was wandering is there any 1 bios version better in performance and memory tweaking running a 2600x.

The reason I'm asking this is I have a x470 f gaming in my system and with the 2600x on it running 4206 bios seemed to be the best.
Then i updated the bios and lost performance and the ability to run my G.skill Flare x 3200 cl14 2x8 at 3400 RDC fast.
Now I have a 3600x on that board with G. Skill Trident Z Royal Gold 3600 cl16 16 16 16 36 2x8 and have it ironed out.

So is there a better pre 3000 series bios that worked best for 2000 series cpu's?

There are better performing bioses, but the latest 3004 has the least bugs and there are no big difference in real world applications. 3004 runs B-Die comfortably at 3733MHz. Best way to improve performance on the Ryzens is to better the cooling, as the Ryzens are extreme temperature dependent on how they perform.

Also, BOOT VDRAM VOLTAGE too low is a common bug on C7H, set it at 1.4V to avoid boot problems. And, the board overvolts a lot on auto, a minus offset on vcore is recommended.

Will give the current bios a try, unknown at this time as not seeing it listed on the box other than 3000 ready.
Hopefully will start disassembly and cleaning Thursday when I get back home.

As to the cooling shouldn't be too much of a issue with a corsair h100iv2 with noctua IPPC's 3000rpm fans in a phanteks enthro case in a room with A/C.
The system will consist of:
2600x
G.skill Flare X 3200cl14 2x8 sam b-die
H100IV2
Samsung 970 evo plus M.2 500gb
Samsung 860 evo 2.5in sata
1tb Toshiba spinner
Thermaltake 650 or 750w psu (i don't remember what wattage I put in)
The weakest link is a gtx 960 but will work till I upgrade my
Son's gtx 1060 6gb to atleast a rtx 2060 then will put it in this build for my wife which is a definitely a upgrade from her
fx 6300.

Ya this mobo is overkill for a 2600x but couldn't pass it up for the price.

The 3103 bios is really good, have had plenty fun doing CCX OC using it. Recommended!

htree\root\0 driver thats the 1 thing has no driver what is it and where can i get its driver?

i can't access CH7 product page for some reason, wifi version is still up but not the regular.

Are we getting bios updates for the new up coming 5X cpus any time soon. Or we looking at next year if anything?
