It 's about 10 seconds longer than what I was accustomed to on my retired Intel 6800K machine but in the bigger scheme of things - what's 10 more seconds compared to what we once endured with traditional HDD's? I'm willing to bet we'll see an improvement in boot time with a BIOS update down-the-road.

I will say this though, the resume from Sleep and Hibernate is greased lighting on this board.

    Hey,

Thanks for the response, it's been a while since I rebuilt a computer and feel like a noob again. But if I'm not the only one experiencing this then this may very well be a BIOS issue. Just as you say, cold power on is the only issue, and powering back on from sleep/hibernate is a 5 second process and very fast. I just wonder why the mobo is taking so long to post the graphic card. Perhaps something I should throw to Asus support so they could add to their laundry list.

I have a Strix 08G Radeon card by the way ... and I don't think the entire boot strap issue is overly concerning.

Is it normal for a 30-35 second boot time? Windows loads up very quickly, but BIOS on the other hand seems to take forever. It takes 15-20 seconds to post the graphic card, and another 10-15 seconds to show the BIOS splash screen. Otherwise, the system hasn't shown any instabilities so far, but I feel the system can load up BIOS/post much faster. Any info would be appreciated.

Crosshair Hero VII Wifi (0601 Bios)
    Ryzen 2700x
    16gb Gskill @ 3200mhz
    M.2 NVME Samsung 960 Evo (Win 10)
    GTX 1060 3gb

    Thanks!

The C7H POST time is like C6H used to be at early stages of being out, later it improved.

    Optimal Audio Jack (3.5mm)
Does anyone know if there is a difference in audio quality between using 600-ohm headphones on the front audio jacks vs. the back (gold-plated) ones?

Also if the rear end up being a better choice, would attaching a Razer Keyboard Audio extension-cable to it (enables use of the keyboard-integrated audio jacks) diminish the audio quality of a pair of headphones by routing the signal further (and through the keyboard)?

Just want to get an idea of where I'll get the best audio quality, and if using the front jacks/keyboard jacks on my Razer BlackWidow has ANY effect on the signal.

Is there a Beta Bios aviable with agesa 1.0.0.4 for C7H Wifi?

the new agesa brings a big improvment in Precision Boost 2 and XFR2 max Speed. Seen it on Asrock Taichi boards

Agesa 1.0.0.4? Why you want .4?
Agesa 1.0.0.6 has been released more than a year ago, and AMD released 1.0.0.7 six months ago
All RAM problem would be gone.
When can we expect updated agesa on C7H?

Sorry no idea. Not an audiophile. If I was honest I disable onboard audio on mobo and use GPU output over DP to monitor and plug a set of headphones into that.

The AGESA 1.0.0.6 you state is version number for SummitPI not PinnaclePI.

AMD AGESA version is reset for each "codename" of CPU, see this post and also this one (the reply by Elmor to quoted text of Anty).

So, is the current 1.0.0.2 like a fork of 1.0.0.6/7?
Which is the latest AGESA for Pinnacle Ridge?

AFAIK 1.0.0.4 is, perhaps we will see a newer one soon in next release of UEFI.

Do we know when we can wait for better RAM compatibility? We bought a top product for it's category and we still waiting for many things half a year after launch. Why?When someone gives his money for a premium product he waits for good support also.Am i wrong?
I have the Corsair Vengeance RGB 16GB DDR4-3466MHz (CMR16GX4M2C3466C16).I don't think that my RAM kit is not so popular/good or something. And not only for that kit.We still waiting for better RAM compatibility in general. Also as many other people said we waiting for new AGESA.
    Do your job please.
