What does microcode 59 change on the Omega 0504 bios? Not saying I am going to switch as 49 is working great with 0504, but I was just curious.

tistou77,
thank you for your excellent work on the BIOS! Looks like VROC modules are included in the new 1704 modded version for Ramage VI Extreme.
I want to try one of them for my rig which have a VDM VROC of 4 drives.
Which one is best in your view 49 or 5D?
Any guidance how to safest apply them?
I assume i should use USB Flashback to flash these bios (per your page 1 guidance).
Something else to think of? -

You're welcome ;)
It's always a pleasure to have an thank and not as I can see, some come to download the bios, without saying a word
The microcode 49 has a TJMax of 105°, the Microcode 5D has a TJMax of 110°, and therefore the CPU warm up more (about 5° more)
Me, I use microcode 49
Indeed, it is necessary to copy the file R6E.CAP on a USB key formatted in FAT32 (preferably less than 16Go) and to use USB Flashback
The best I can advise is to save the settings of his bios on a USB key (in the last tab of the bios, I think, user profile, and F2 key)
Valid only for the same version of bios -

Hi tistou77,
It would be possible to have a modded BIOS with the latest packages and microcode patch (5D) but using BIOS 1503 for Rampage VI Extreme?. In my case, I always get Q CODES (B1, AF…) with later BIOS 1704 and the system boot up in Windows 10 but it is instable. With your modded BIOS 1503 (59 MC), the system is stable and it would be great if we can enjoy an update.
Thanks! -

Thanks for the hardwork of yours tistou77. I am going to update my vanilla 1603 BIOS to 1704. I assume MC 5D is the latest one.

I have a question about the 1705 BIOS for the Apex board.
I see :
EFI IRSTe RAID for SATA - 6.0.0.1024
EFI Intel VROC with VMD - 6.0.0.1024
listed for the Extreme but not for the Apex.
I am about to rebuild my Apex system and it will be using VROC so I am wondering if the 1705 modified BIOS contains current RAID ROM.
Thanks in advance and thanks for providing these modified BIOS files. -

I started on the rebuild and did some testing.
Unfortunately both the stock 1705 and modified 1705 BIOS contain the 5.4.0.1039 IRSTe and VROC BIOS.
Is it possible to get a modified 1705 BIOS that contain 6.0.0.1024 (or newer if it exists) IRSTe and VROC?
Thanks in advance. -

Curiosity got the best of me and I gave this guide a go:

I now have your modified Apex 1705 BIOS upgraded with EFI Intel VROC with VMD - 6.0.0.1024 :) -
