Yep need high VCCIO and VCCSA. I have btoh of mine at 1 or 1.1, cant remember but Ill double check next time Im in BIOS. Also dont be aftraid to jack the Vram either/ My XMP is 1.35 but I run it at 1.45 with OC and mesh min at 28 and max at 32. It stays at 32 when I boot though. Also raised that to 1.15

Thanks, cash already @32x, aida 26x post is wrong, because of energy saving option. NB/cash runs from 26x to 32x setup in bios.
VCCIN @2.0V, VTT IMC @1.25V, VCCIO @1.25V, SA/ VCCSA @1.15V, PCH @1,05V (according to HWINFO64): Entered bios values are slightly lower.
Everything more than RAM @4000Mhz crashes or does not post, except when raising the BCLK a bit e.g. 100.200 instead of 100.000, but BCLK OC is not stable. Running BCLK @100.100 Mhz which is 4008 Mhz on RAM, I found is my CPU/ board limit without add. cooling.
edit: btw HWinfo shows a value called "VIN9" (at leat on my sensor status page) Voltage running most of the time between 0.864 and sometimes even >1.0 to 1.05V, depending on VCCIO/ VCCSA and IMC Voltage settings in bios, which I believe is DMI Voltage? -

Is there a modded release for R6E with the 3403 bios?
Hopefully with rebar :) -
03-30-2021, 06:24 PMSlayeRC
Yep. New bios versions for several mainboards are available on ASUS Support webpage.
Version 3403 for APEX, Extreme , Omega ... but not for ENCORE so far.
2021/03/25 9.83 MBytes
I can confirm that all of them are Re-Bar enabled bioses. I am running my APEX modded 3403 bios that includes:
EFI Intel RST for SATA - 18.31.1.5256
OROM Intel RST for SATA - 18.35.0.4635
EFI Intel VROC for SATA - 7.5.0.1030
EFI Intel VROC with VMD - 7.5.0.1030
OROM Intel VROC for SATA - 7.0.0.2008
EFI Intel Gigabit UNDI - 0.0.29
OROM Intel Boot Agent CL - 0.1.16
uCode 3101 CL-X
So far so good! -

This is the link to the UBU modding tool (first post), the links to all imaginable BIOS modules (section B) and an overall guide how to do it all.
Read it carefully because there are tons of opportunities to screw up!

Hello! Did anyone check the new BIOS 1004 for a double start after powering up? Fixed double start or not?

I don't think Asus cares really. One feature I liked with my Omega board was the M.2 secure erase. Worked great. It is still not enabled in the Encore board. Why it's not available for the Encore, just like not addressing the double cold boot problem, I don't know.

Do you mean 1004 or 0401? 0401 is from November or 2019. I can deal with some of the negatives for the new attributes like rebar.

It’s not really although going straight into a boot sequence without the hiccup would be better and a lot of people have voiced concerns about it. Someone not used to it will routinely post as to whether there’s a problem. I have had several high end Asus boards that don’t do it at all whereas some do as you know. Â*

I have five HDD drives on my computer. Two pieces of 2 TB and 3 pieces of 8 TB. And I really would not want them to restart twice when the computer starts. This is fraught for them.
It is clear that blackout of the computer does not happen often, but the annoyance is that the system does not work correctly. And the money paid is not small. -

There’s the typical “improve system stability” or something like that and memory compatibility. The typical response when troubleshooting something else is “do you have the latest bios for your motherboard.” I have seen various compatibility issues solved with a bios update occasionally. 1004 for the encore board has rebar support which is beneficial in some games. Stuff like that. The flip side is the change may cause stability problems you weren’t having with the baseline bios. Different bios, voltages may be different. Some say if it ain’t broke.....

04-29-2021, 02:08 PMbrogadgetmodified APEX 3404 BIOS
Please find linked 2x 3404 BIOSes with latest RST and VROC option roms and efi driver updates, incl. intel LAN update
One BIOS has latest microcode and the other one comes with ASUS 3404 origin microcode.
If someone wants to mod BIOS himself, then go to the winraid forum and look for UBU tool. It´s everything there with en easy "how to do" tutorial.
BIOS link: https://1drv.ms/u/s!AlLh8a0nDg1WgZoC...qts1Q?e=Pmazdy
You must use ASUS USB flashback with a compatible FAT32 USB stick to flash a BIOS. ASUS EZ flash utility does not work.
And as allways: !!!!!"USE AT YOUR OWN RISK"!!!!! -

Look like 020006B06 fixing L3 cache behavior. On 02006B05 microcode DATE 2021-01-25 sometime on AIDA64 testing under Windows 10 21382.1.
I'd notice L3 cache bandwidth performance lower than 100GB/sec both write and copy. On read side L3 cache of 02006B05 sometime fell a half.
