Hello Mokichu, Thank you for your ongoing updates for our audio drivers, I have been out for about two weeks and the last version I installed was 6.0.9264.1 and I now see that there is a change in the way drivers are delivered.
I do have a ROG Strix Z370-G WIFI Motherboard and I used to use ROG SS3 drivers, in the new setup, do I use Gen1 or Gen2 for ROG SS3? Also, I used to only UPDATE and never clean install, do I now have to do a cleanup first or could I just continue to update? I saw your explanation above about switching from Gen1 to Gen2, would the old drivers considered Gen1?
Thank you. -

Ok, we will start from the beginning since you never asked.
You have an ASUS ROG SS3|DTS Sound Unbound motherboard, so :
You need Realtek Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3-DTS MB) from the first post of this thread.
Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow your UPDATE process.
Also, to avoid ZoneID blocking trouble :
- For each downloaded .zip : ZoneID unblock the .zip (Right click on the .zip file > Properties > Check the box Unblock > OK).
or
- Disable the ZoneID blocking completely (you will no longer have to unblock each downloaded .zip) :
- Right-click Windows Start button then click Launch then type gpedit.msc > OK
- User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Attachment Manager
- Do not preserve zone information in file attachment : Enabled > OK.
