You need Realtek Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG/PRIME/TUF MB) from this thread. Follow scrupulously your INSTALL process with cleanup step, for the next drivers packages that MoKiChU would release, you will can directly follow the UPDATE process.

Note (in order to choose correctly the install/update process to use) : You have a ASUS ROG SS3 motherboard.

    Thank you so much

It may sound ridiculous, but when I had my B350-F what I had to do was open the Realtek Audio Console each startup and click the test speaker button. It would pop the first time, then it seemed like audio was clean for the rest of the boot (including if resumed from sleep).

But alternatively, audio crackling and popping can be unstable fabric clock as well.

edit: should mention I did follow the steps for cleanup, and was running MSI mode.

Which version should I install for my b360-g motherboard? HDA or UAD. After deciding on these, should I download the "ASUS ROG SSx" version or the other.

    Hi MoKiChU

Really appriciate all your time and effort on these driver updates and install support, not sure if I've stumbled on an issue or quirk but I find using Displayport to my monitor can often give crackles and pops through it's built in speakers, but switching my monitor cable over to HDM1 2.0 resolves this.
Driver changes do not seem to improve, sticking with HDMI currently :)

    Hi

Thanks for the quick reply, monitor only used when it's late, Logitech Z906 during daytime :D

Was curious as to if this monitor audio issue was tied to the Maximus as my previous Z370 board was a Gigabyte and this crackle issue was not apparent when using the same RTX2080TI.

Asus Audio through the speakers sounds great and i've not had any pop/crackle issues during games or media even when CPU loads are high, which from what i've read seems a common problem.

    Salad :D

I'm having to run the mic volume and boost to max to get my mic sound ok with the current drivers on my z490-g. Will it help to update to these? Or should i wait for the official release?

Ok i successfully installed it. It didn't help on the low mic volume much, but the sound seems to be more stable as i had crackling and high/low volume stuff happening as well. I will keep updating when new versions come out, thanks!! :)

    Hi MoKiChU

I have the Asus Maximus X Code, which drivers do I need to install?

Also what is the difference between HDA and UAD Drivers? is one recommended over the other? and why?

    Thanks in advance.

First of all THANKS for all your effort. This is great stuff!

I have a problem with Realtek Audio Console when using the RTK package - it doesn't open and just shows a splash screen with spinning wheel.
I've been using the SS3 file on previous installs and it worked then, but I wanted to get rid of the Sonic Mixer device and the drivers that come with it.
Do you know how to mitigate it? I re-installed the audio console multiple times to no avail.

I fully cleaned the driverstore before install and I'm using a X470-F board.

I falsely assumed that the ROG/PRIME/TUF RTK package was the universal "RTK only" driver for all lines of boards.
Thanks for clearing that up so quickly and providing the patch. I will follow your directions.

EDIT: Thank you. That did the trick! Will you be providing these SSVM Removal Patches somewhere for future driver releases or am I able to use this one for all installs?

got a SS3 3.16.10.0 update just now. but faulty NahimicService.exe and A-volute crash errors are back! i think these 2 will be a constant issue. i know is not the main driver or the compilations. that is for sure. drivers are solid not even 1 pop or crack sound. so far, the 6.0.8960.1 are the best one that i have use.

    - Download this patch (SSVM Remover Patch) : Link
    - Extract the contents of the SSVM_Remover_Patch folder in your drivers package folder (AUDIO_Realtek_UAD_ASUS_ROG-PRIME-TUF_MB_v6.0.xxxx.x).

    - Delete the OEM_INF_Media_-_ASUS folder from your drivers package folder (which is in : AUDIO_Realtek_UAD_ASUS_ROG-PRIME-TUF_MB_v6.0.xxxx.x\ThirdParty\SS3).
    - Follow scrupulously your INSTALL process with cleanup step.

    Hello MoKiChU

I've got Asus maximus X Hero (ss3) board and been using old standalone process with your latest drivers. Is standalone (realtek audio control only) process still same?

My process goes like this: Remove thirdparty folder, run Install_ROG_SS3 cmd as admin and install. I had no problems for last 2 months but after seeing SSVM_Remover_Patch I'm totally confused now. Can you please explain if process changed with new cmd installations? Thank you in advance.

    Hi,

I also got this Sonic Studio III v3.6.10.0 update from MS Store (like all ROG SS3 and ROG SS3|DTS Sound Unbound users) but I have no issue.

Try clean install (CLEANUP process then INSTALL process).

i will try but is a clean install and just updates applied. just 2 including these one. I will make the process of cleanup. I will report back later today
    Thanks MoKiChU

How can I get the base drivers installed, with none of the extras? (Nahimic, Soncic Studio, etc.) I currently have the base Windows driver, and nothing else. I always hate having all the extras.

    - Full without Sonic Studio Virtual Mixer (don't work for ROG Z490 & B460 motherboards) : Follow scrupulously this process.

A Volute and Nahimic was sold to SteelSeries. these issue is not new. these has come since 1903. There is a reason for these and is not my place. there are people more intelligent to explain these on app level. But we will have to adapt. and I am gratefully that i have audio.

Now, i can be wrong. but since these 2020 is the start of UWP applications push by MS. some new changes are in. I check why the issue and is my Razer Seiren Elite. is working fine but SS3 do not like it. I will plug the other one i have tomorrow that is the beyerdynamic FOX and test. Since I am doing something new now, i can not test all scenarios. need to be ready for June 27 but i will test all sides since i like my music nice.

These 2 apps are not push by MS anymore. but are needed and is need on all Realtek OEM board

    - Follow scrupulously your INSTALL process with cleanup step, but this time to prevent Windows Update from generating a drivers install conflict, disable your Internet connection from the start of the CLEANUP process until the end of drivers install of the INSTALL process (after the restart).

If everything works after that, reconnect the USB dongle & Install the software of your headset/headphones/mic/peripheral devices one by one in order to determine which one generates the conflict then that you can report it to the adequate support service of the problematic device.

I did thanks. Yes was my razer serien elite. even that the peripheral does not have any software at all, windows install 2 one for mic and other other for the wavetable since has internal dac. once that is off (disconnect from the pc) the SS3 will not crash. i think ss3 do not like my mic =) . is ok. I ask my friend to borrow it, since they have almost the same functionality and test other ports on my board. I will dig more if i can more data. thanks for the tips. the odd part is that is not always and if you try to access once 1 the first crash the SS3 give you a note. I will send that later, since i know what is what i can duplicate. i will send that later.

This happened on my machine AFTER the INSTALL process. I've had the drivers installed since Windows 10 2004 came out (clean install on OS and Drivers) and it automatically installed the 1.8.0.0 OVER the cleanly installed drivers so I guess it's some kind of forced update.

you can always just disable the drivers updating that windows do (windows 10 pro)

I also went through what Cody did. My installation was working perfectly and Windows downgraded my software component. Then I did a clean install and this time nahimic service and avolute components didn't install. This past few days were a pain because of this. I then had to clean out everything once again and installed the final UAD from ASUS support and then I installed Mokichu's final drivers on top and they worked.

I tried to update the driver with device manager and if said invalid data. I'll try to roll back and report here.
