    Hi Mokichu,

I have an Asus ROG Maximus XI Apex and my question is which driver I have to choose to use SS3?
I`m on the latest Win10 Update, done a clean install and at the Moment the generic driver from Windows 10 is installed.

Could you please assist if you have a little bit of time?

    Many thanks in advance.

You couldn't be more correct!!! The community does really appreciate your efforts much more than we could ever show, but if more positive feedback is what you'd like, I'll personally be sure to comment anytime I use your driver package with not just any issues, but letting you know all is good!! Totally understand where you are coming from, but believe me the community really does love what you are doing, even though it may not show! Most of us know it takes time away from friends and family, but the amount you time you have saved all that have had problems with old drivers causing issues (cause the manufacturer does not update them often or at all for that matter) and your drivers have fixed issues, far outweighs the negative comments here and there!

Thank you! Really Thank You Very Much MoKiChU!!!

    Appreciate your updates as always!

    9030 Driver Update note
Again thank you MoKiChU, I also have been using your drivers for a while and they always have worked well for me. One thing to mention (this has to do with my machine but just to mention it), for some reason i have yet to get into and find out why but your bat script will not run for me. All i get is a flash of the dos box. I have just been following your install list and going to each inf file and installing them manually. Your work is much appreciated. Stay Well!

Edit: Want to be clear, the 9030 works fine on my ASUS Prine Z390 A. It's just your cmd bat files don't run for me. It is not you, it's something on my end.

Shouldn't be realtek EQ better for "natural" sound? They manufacture sound card. What i mean is i don't want artificial effects, especially if i sometimes work on audio production.

Not a good result from new drivers
I just updated my Z390-E to the ver. 6.0.9030.1 drivers, closely following the Cleanup/Install procedures. I ran the SS3 Cleaner tool in an attempt to fix the faulting NahimivSvc32.exe app. I also had to manually reinstall Realtek Audio Console. (I have not yet reinstalled either Sonic Studio app.)

    Result:

Device Manager confirms that the driver is now ver. 6.0.9030.1. :)

The faulting application NahimicSvc32.exe has returned . :(

The speaker icon in the lower right corner of the screen shows I have three playback devices, 1) Speakers (Realtek Audio), 2) Dell UP3017 (NVIDIA High Definition Audio), and 3) Realtek Digital Output (Realtek Audio)

I can only use device #1 (Speakers) in my web browsers (Firefox or Edge); if I select device #3 (Realtek Digital Output) there is no sound.

However, my music apps (Qobuz, iTunes) allow me to play on either device: #1 (Speakers) or #3 (Realtek Digital Output).

So for now I'm keeping audio on device #1(Speakers), and have disabled the Nahimic service.

Is this about as good as I can expect? Many thanks for advice.

    -Howard

Further Information: I discovered that a Nahimic service was taking up all my CPU processing (screenshot), so now I have disabled all Nahimic services from starting using Autoruns. Does anyone have any advice about what these Nahimic apps are doing or trying to do? Thanks.

    Hi,

    This phenomenon occurs when :

    - the .cmd is started from a location with limited rights. In this case, move the drivers package folder to another location (Desktop, Downloads folder, etc.) and relaunch the .cmd.
    - the drivers package folder is named ending with " (1)" because a drivers package folder named with the same version was already present. In this case, delete the folder that was existing and rename the new one by removing "(1)" from the folder name and relaunch the .cmd.

Thank you for your reply. So for the cmd issue I have previously tried what you suggested but did not work. I will work on this and see what is wrong on my end. I hope you continue to get the positive feedback you deservive and those that follow you truly appreciate all that you do. Stay well!

Since I've had no responses, I will try once more with a simplified question: Given that I've disabled of all the Nahimic exes from loading (NahimicSvc32Run, NahimicSvc64Run, NahimicTask32, NahimicTask64, and NahimicService) since they either won't load or use up all the CPU time, can I just delete these exes from the folders "syswow64" and " system32"?

    All advice greatly appreciated.

The Realtek Audio Console from the MS store will not run. I am getting the error "Can not connect to RPC service". I have been through all 46 pages here and can only find one reference to it on page 18. But nothing there helps. I have followed the clean and install directions here very carefully and all seems to install fine with no errors. I can see the 6.0.9030.1 driver and everything else works fine. I just don't have a Realtek console to control stuff - bass, speaker distance, etc. I'm on a clean install of Windows 10 2004. I did try other drivers multiple times before I discovered this thread. I was looking for the Realtek console and it would never appear. I have cleaned thoroughly with both Rapr.exe and DDU.

Prime Deluxe II. 10940X. VROC and Quadro 5000 RTX. Any suggestions?

Edit: After searching and trying to fix this for a week - Enable "Realtek HD Audio Universal Service" on Startup tab via Task Manager. :(

    Hello MoKiChU,
new update works fine and sounds good. Thanks for that.
I have a question that you might can answer: How do you check if there is a new update available?
I wanted to know because I checked the batch files and they are kinda static, so you somehow always have to check beforehand and find the specific link/command for a specific version. An "auto-update-finder/checker" or even better: "auto-updater" would be nice, but I guess that is not possible, right?
Another question or maybe guess: Why the updatest are always some weeks behind? E.g. todays post is about the update from 14 days ago. Is the reason of the same kind I have mentioned above or is there another explanation?
I am really interested in this, because I am asking me this questions since some months. Would be really kind if you can answer detailed. Thanks ahead.

Edit: PS: What about the third party drivers? They are even older (some months old). Are there no updates for them or is it hard to find them? (To be precise: "SS3 Extension Driver : 1.2.14.0 WHQL [02/03/2020] and NH3/SS3 APO SoftwareComponent Driver : 1.8.4.0 WHQL [15/07/2020] "). How to check it?

I also noticed that the driver itself does not appear in the add/remove window as it usually does. Is this by design?

The next question is, when uninstalling, if it's not in add/remove; is it enough to just simply delete the driver files in Driver Store Explorer before updating?

THanks for the good work @MoKiChU ;)

I think you read my message kind of wrong?
I am really thankful for his work (since years). I just wanted to get some more information on how he checks for new packages so I (or any other developer including himself, because maybe he gets through some messages new ideas) could help him (and thus the whole community) to make his good proceeding even better (because you know nothing is perfect and can always be improved). But it is nice how it is for now (that's for sure). So please no hate or confront. I'm trying to help, too. Maybe you want to help in understanding the proceedures, too? Everyone would profit from this (like I've mentioned above). Exchange of ideas is a nice thing.

PS: Also the drivers are free (you can download them via Microsoft etc.) MoKiChUs work is mainly in putting them together for each mainboard.

All right, if it's that easy in your opinion and that "you can download them via Microsoft", do it yourself then and don't come in my thread anymore.

Note : This is the last time that I answer ungrateful people like you.

Sorry, MoKiChU if you took it as an insult. It was not my intention to do so. Very sorry. Like I mentioned before: I am very grateful for your work (and I follow you since years). I just wanted to help in improving your scripts. I know it is not easy, so I cannot do it by myself. I just wanted to know how and/or where you check for updates (I know that Microsoft and other product sipoort pages are very bad in providing up2date drivers, so you must have "another way"). Sorry again. I do not wanted to make you angry. I am really satisfied with your work.
So my question is not about the scripts in the first place, but about the drivers themselfs.

PS: If you do not want to answer it I can live with that. I'm not ungrateful. Sorry again. I'm friendly, but my english is not very well so I can make mistakes in writing.

That's exactly what I wanted to know. Usually I would follow the cleanup process, first with add/remove, then DSE to finish. Since the driver isn't in add/remove anymore, I now know that using DSExplorer alone is sufficient. Thanks!

    Thanks @MoKiChU

Can you or someone else help me with a quick question please?

Is this normal? I mean, Audio drivers in Device Manager under Audio inputs and outputs and also under Sound, video and game controllers?

Audio inputs and outputs shows Microsoft Drivers

    Attachment 86497

Sound, video and game controllers Shows the newest Realtek drivers

    Attachment 86498

Last but not least the other question I have is:

I have a Razer Leviathan 5.1 Soundbar which I'm using since I bought it connected through an Optical Cable. Because of a small sound delay (e.g. when I click on any file that produces a sound or start playing an mp3 file there is a very small annoying delay until I hear the sound/music which is probably less than 1 sec but still annoying) I start researching what could be the cause of the issue and I then noticed that in my Device Manager besides the Realtek Audio Driver (under Sound Video and Game Controllers) I also have a Realtek Digital Output driver under Audio Inputs and Outputs. While the Realtek Audio Drivers shows the latest version (6.0.9013.1 WHQL) installed, the Realtek Digital Output shows the version 10.0.18362.1 provided by Microsoft from 2019. I tried to change from Optical to Aux and while the delay isn't happening anymore another issue shows up which is when I turn off my computer the Razer Leviathan starts making a humming noise which will end if I turn off the Razer (Already tried to change the Outlet where the Razer is plugged without success).

My question is what would be the general recommendation to connect my Razer Leviathan? Optical, Aux, or Bluetooth which is also a possibility?

    Thanks in Advance,

Regarding the use of your equipment, I cannot really advise you, but :

    - Be aware that the Sonic Studio III effects cannot be applied to the Digital/Optical/SPDIF output.
    - Take into account this recommendation that I made to someone else regarding 3.5 jack output : https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthrea...e14#post807392.
