Maybe a stupid question, but is there a reason why all of MoKiChU's driver threads can't be stickied, so they are easier to monitor? Seems to me having them at the top of the first page of the forum is a good place for them.

You my friend, are a frickin genious!!! Have had nothing but audio trouble with my x570 and logitech z906 since building this PC. Found Alan Finote driver package on techpowerup that solved my problems but it was still a headache. Then I discovered your work of wonderfullness and life is good again.

Do have an audio question for you or anyone that has a good grasp of audio for gaming. Am I better to use the 3.5mm connections to the z906 and let the PC do the work or use optical and let the 906 decode? Asking specifically for games that make use of surround and situational (positioning) sounds.

I would use the 3.5mm on the back of the motherboard and let it do the processing.

Don't use front panel jack as the quality is not the same.

    Hi @mokichu,

First of all thanks for your time and effort in maintaining this (and even publishing it here again).
Without this the lack of adequate updates from Asus would have been a bigger issue.

What is the actual cause of the slow startup of applications like, for instance, Chrome?

Not sure if anyone else noticed this but I started getting a very faint click pop at the end of every sound that was driving me nuts. This started a few driver updates ago. It was driving me nuts but I just stumbled upon the solution -- turn on the Disable Front Panel Popup Dialog in the Realtek CP advanced settings. I never use my case's front panel inputs, so I disabled the inputs in Window's sound devices settings.

    Hello,

I have similar issue, with Strix Fusion 700 and Z270E Motherboard. On my system I ntice that SS III is not working on my Realtek. It is taking settings from Armoury Crate, from Fusion Headphones (even if I don't use the headphones or they are disconected). I tried to uninstall the realtek driver (full cleanup) and reinstall it. It started to work for a little time, but after a few reboots I have the same problem.

I want to use both, SS III for motherboard and Armoury Crate for Headphones.

    Thank you :)

The link for Realtek Audio Control Panel in the first post opens up the MS store. Then of its own accord a download arrow appears on the left But the progress bar errors out. Yes I have enabled 'downloads from other PCs on my network and the internet' in the control panel. Should I find this software on the realtek website?

BTW, just asssembled a z490 Hero Wifi with MokiChu's drivers from scratch WITHOUT an internet connection. Night and Day. No glitches. No crashes. More responsive. However, task manager does show NahimicService although it's not eating any cpu cycles. A-Volute NS is also on the list of processes and reflects asusne.exe in AppData/Local/NhNotifSys/sonictudio. I never installed sonic studio or the realtek control panel , Just the drivers.

The answer to your question is quite broad and really the question does not belong here. I had the same problem and solved it by installing Windows 10 from scratch without an internet connection and using MokiChu's drivers.

    Long_Y0!
After one of the latest updates there's a process "asusns.exe" starting at every Windows start.
It looks somehow connected to Sonic Studio, it's located in %LOCALAPPDATA% and in its folder there's the following files: a_heartbeat, a_queue, asusns.exe, NhNotifSys.dll.
I tried to remove it but it came back, now I've tried to remove the registry key that contained "asusns.exe", it was somewhere in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT.

I do not use neither of the Sonic applications so I didn't install any of them, I only installed Realtek Audio Console.
Was it safe to remove that and how to may be exclude it from the installation at all?

P.S. Using the UAD - ASUS ROG SS3 MB version as my motherboard supports SS3.

Thanks for this! I did cleanup and reinstallation of the drivers as you mentioned, but I still couldn't get the SS3 to work. The audio works when I untick the enhancements in the sound settings. Any tips on making this work again? I'm using a ROG Crosshair VIII Impact, btw.

From a developers perspective the answer cannot be broad if the problem stems from a single root cause.

I am really not interested in the solutions.

The Nahimic employee I talked to said the issue is a part of SS3 and that he doesn't know what causes it.
