https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R8yyHy0DNps
A window says SS3 is not install, but it obviously is!
And yes, i did the installation of the audio drivers following the instructions here:
https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthrea...hlight=NAHIMIC
(Realtek Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3-DTS MB)
PD: Also, when i use the FIX my Applications configs doesn't show up. -

The only way i could make this pieace of **** Soft works is:
Doing a .BAT to start manually and fast the NAHIMIC service and then start SS3.
It maybe takes 3 attempts or maybe a lot more, till it keep open without close.
But it's really stupid thing, need to be doing things like this to make it works like should... -

One crash I can 100% reproduce every time:
1. Switch Sonic Studio App to Advanced Mode and close
2. Change default Audio Device to Headphone (through windows control panel) and enable DTS on it. Don't change the default audio device.
3. Start Sonic Studio and it will crash.
Note: I also have Sonic Studio enabled on my TV/Monitor.
However, when I change my default audio device to something else which hasn't DTS enabled and then start Sonic Studio, it doesn't crash.
The Service timeout/crash hasn't happend for me for a while. -

07-08-2022, 03:35 AMKiller01ws65.1 audio not working desktop, test speakers does in games
Hey Guys,
So I have chased my tail on this and figured all of you are in the know would know what I am missing here.
Asus Z690 Hero win 11.
I have went to the MMSYS.CPL and checked all the settings, I have it at 5.1 and when I test I get left and right only.. I don't have the enhanced tab in my properties as some suggest changes there.. when I run a game I do get all 5 speakers working with sound, but can't get the test to run them correctly. I have not tried music yet, I will move a song to this rig tomorrow and try that also.. Not sure what is hosed up here. I just built this system last week, so windows is fresh and all drivers ran from Armory Crate installed.
Thanks in advance for any help. -

Hi,
You have a ASUS TUF/PRIME DTS Audio Processing motherboard, so:
You need Realtek Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS TUF/PRIME DTS AP MB) from the first post of this thread.
Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process, for the next drivers packages that MoKiChU would release, you can directly follow your UPDATE process.

Hello all,
I want to share my experience troubleshooting a problem with the Nahimic service and see if anyone had encountered the same thing.
First of all my specs:
ASUS Maximus XI Hero WiFi
Windows 11 Pro x64 build 22621.232 22H2
I followed the guide to clean install the driver (even used DDU in safe mode to be sure everything was cleaned fine), I installed version 6.0.9360.1 SS3 without any issue, every component was recognized so nothing to complain. Rebooted the system and checked the audio, all ok! Even Realtek Audio Console self installed.
I continued to use my computer as usual, but I noticed when using WinRAR or Google Chrome/Opera GX, even Windows Task Manager, these applications were slow in opening, so after some testing etc. I found out NahimicService.exe was the culprit. I let the video speak by itself:
https://streamable.com/kntpe1
Obviously i updated to the latest version (6.0.9374.1) posted yesterday and nothing has changed, so my question is if anyone has having the same behaviour or not, maybe it's the unsupported Windows 11 version that cause the issue, who knows....
PS: Sonic Studio 3 is a garbage software, crashing in advanced mode everytime. -

Good afternoon. I have an Asus ROG MAXIMUS XII APEX z490 motherboard. Which driver should I use?
UAD - ASUS ROG SS3 or UAD - ASUS ROG/TUF/PRIME RTK)?
Thanks, I'll wait for an answer.
And is there a difference how to remove the old one via DDU or via CLEANUP? Thank you. -

Hey Mokichu,
I m lost with the sound drivers... I uninstalled them (tried a new sound card) then tried to reinstall them (rog ss3 + dts) on my Maximus formula XII...
Cleaned everything as usual, console, sonic studio, radar, driver storage removing everything i could from dtx, realtek etc ...
I've also deleted a folder in appdata (nahimic something...). I reinstalled your drivers (and the official as well), everything's going good until I try to launch Sonic suite III, dled from MS store from your link.
First, usually, when I install your drivers, after the reboot, I have the install wizard finishing the realtek installing process (same with the official). This time, i neven shows up, so I have to manually download the console and Suite III from your link. The console is working (even tho i can only see the digital output (spdif))???) and suite III is poping up 1 sec before disappearing... Then I am tryin to open Sonic Suite Companion from the start menu (in admin) and it shows that
Dunno if I deleted something important on appdata, but it is suppose to come back anyway after installation right ?
Also noticed that windows update tends to download automatically A-volute and some nahimics stuff ...
Anyway, without suite III, and realtek console, the sound card is useless, spdif is limited to 48khz 16 bits, Sabre amps arnt working, etc ...
I dunno what to do now, i have the same symptoms with the official old drivers...
Thank you
Edit : Problem solved, kaspersky was blocking A-volute and Nahimic programs, services and their access to the network. Be aware in case you are using Kaspersky -
