MoKiChU,
I have a similar question, I've got a Strix x570-e which driver package would I need? -
08-23-2020, 04:42 AMtherealdarkonex
Not working here on my Asus ROG Strix Hero 3 laptop. Did the steps and it fixed my issue with Sonic Studio 3 however it also re-enabled the Nahimic drivers so stuff was slow af again. So disabled that service yet again and now Sonic Studio 3 doesn't launch. I'm confused?

Just wish to say thank you, since updating to Windows 2004 my realtek 5.1 front speakers were not working, I had to uninstall and use the Windows generic audio driver which was fine. Today I thought I would give your method a go and it worked, Realtek is back and all speakers reporting for duty in 5.1, thanks man!

Hello MoKiChU I always had this message popping up about Sonic software (Sonic Studio / Sonic Radar) that needs to update, but I always though that was an update from the Microsoft store, as those software are installed from there and not with your package.
I have the classic SS3 motherboard, and did a complete cleanup not too long ago as you told me to do it as you changed your installation package.
Everything is working perfectly, and since the cleanup I had this popup appearing only 1 time.
Do you suggest to do another cleanup, or is it just the Microsoft store updating, or what else?
Thank you in advance for your precious help! -

Oh, I just realized that you changed the installation package again.
My last update was with the unique file AUDIO_Realtek_UAD_ASUS_ROG-PRIME-TUF_MB_v6.0.8975.1.7z
Should I do a clean install when installing the last dedicated SS3 version, or can I go with the simple Update?
Thanks in advance. -

@ MOKICHU, I have the Asus Rog Strix E gaming x570 MB. Can I use your top drivers that say "Realtek Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3 MB) Drivers : 6.0.8996.1 WHQL [28/07/2020]" versus the second ones that say " Realtek Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3-DTS MB) : Drivers : 6.0.8984.1 WHQL [07/07/2020]" ?
I noticed the driver version is more recent on the top one (6.0.8996.1 vs. 6.0.8984.1).
Thanks -

Hi MoKiChU,
I have a friend who is using an old Z170 chipset, to be more specific this one:
https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/MA...pecifications/
This hasn't been supported properly for some time. It there by any chance a newer audio driver that's compatible with this chipset? -

Hi there, I had a strange sound stutter today, might be a one off, just want to make sure I am using the correct driver, I have a Hero Xi (wifi) motherboard, which driver should I be using?
Thanks :)
UPDATE: I think I used the right driver UAD - ASUS ROG SS3 MB, it must have been a one off issue... -

So i scrupulously followed the indicated steps for cleaning and installing Realtek driver on a Maximus XII Extreme with Windows 2004. I had to use the second to last version because the most recent one causes Sonic Studio 3 to crash when I move the volume slide. I've noticed a strange fact: when I connect my headphones to the front audio jack they are not shown as headphones but as speakers. Is this normal? If I recall correctly WIndows should distinguish between the two. Could this cause a reduction of the overall volume of the headphones? They seem a bit weaker than with my previous system.
EDIT Never mind I was dumb, I had to enable an advanced setting to allow the two devices to play different audio streams simultaneously in order to separate them. Still, Sonic Studio sometimes crashes randomly, but it could well be my overclock that isn't perfectly stable, so I'll check that in these days. -

I just did the correct installation as you describe in the thread.
ASUS ROG/PRIME/TUF Realtek
My Mother is Formula XII
But when I try to install Realtek Audio Control from the store, it gives me an Error Code 0x803FB005

I have a slight doubt, it is necessary to install the Install "Sonic Studio III" ?

Hi! I'm the guy with a Maximus XII Extreme who is experiencing Sonic Studio 3 crashes. I set everything back to stock settings (had the PC overclocked) and run an sfc command just to make sure that there was no integrity violation: everything is fine. Unfortunately SS3 keeps on crashing randomly: usually the trigger is adjusting the volume slide, but sometimes the app crashes right after I open it. Event viewer shows two "Application Error" entries and one "Service Control Manager" message informing that an attempt to restart Nahimic Service will be made. I've attached a screenshot for the three of them (text language is Italian, but paths of processes and service are crearly recognizable). Windows version is 2004, driver package was taken from the first page of this thread, version 6.0.8984.1. I accurately follow cleaning and installing steps. Is there something I can do in order to help you isolate the issue?

as far the app has not crash since those events. but was a key to make that works perfect. But so far is solid. with the 6.0.9003.1 UI 1.15.227.0 and the 3.16.12.0 of SS3. use back usb and front panel. if i can see a issue i will ask for more info. thanks MoKiChU. (codexi)

Hi MoKiChU, thanks for the suggestion. I ended up performing a clean install of WIndows just to make sure OS was fine: after reinstalling everything SS3 still crashed. It turned out that the idea of a driver/device conflict was correct: if I disable NVIDIA High Definition Audio Sonic Studio doesn't crash anymore. I noticed that in order to eliminate the issue I have to disable the device whether I have actually installed the Nvidia driver or I am simply using Windows default High Definition Audio driver for it. Graphic card is RTX 2070 Super, driver version 452.06 (latest). I haven't tried previous drivers, especially because I can keep the device disabled since I don't use HDMI port of my VGA. However, I admit it can be an annoying issue. Is it something Nvidia should take care of? Thanks again for the help.

I just tried to re-enable the Nvidia High Definition Audio in Device Manager. Opened SS3, moved the volume slider of my speakers and it immediately crashed, with Event Viewer showing the same three entries I posted above. Disabled again the audio device, no crash. The other two suggestions can't help because:
-Virtual Mixer is off and I've never enabled it;
-I don't use Geforce Experience, I deselect it during every Nvidia driver installation.
I don't know what to say, maybe it could be related to my specific hardware combination? Really don't know, but the issue seems definitely connected with the fact that that Audio device is enabled or not, regardless of the driver used. -

Just tried to do the same out of curiosity to see what would happen, but SS3 still crashes. Well, it looks like I'll keep the device disabled, no problem at all. It is indeed really strange, because if it had been a serious issue with Nvidia driver someone would certainly have reported it by now. I'll keep you updated when I try new drivers. Thanks again for the help!

Hi MoKiChU. Thanks for the work you've done.
I have an ASUS ROG STRIX X299-E GAMING motherboard, what driver can I install on it? -
09-07-2020, 04:40 PMSteverinoLA
Something else I've always wondered -- Mokichu, how exactly do you know which motherboards use which audio drivers? You probably have them memorized by heart at this point due to so many people asking, but how would someone figure it out themselves?
What's odd to me is that I can see in the list that there is the base Sonic Studio 3 edition, followed by several versions w/bigger and better DTS features (I assume this is DTS surround sound), but the DTS features don't increment w/the motherboard price line. Eg. I have a ROG STRIX Z390-F, which I think is higher-end Asus product that Prime or TUF lines, but yet those mb's include DTS Realtek features that mine doesn't. That seems odd?
So let's pretend I'm buying a new Z-490 ROG STRIX mb but I want to figure out which of you drivers apply to it. What would I look at to figure it out myself?
Keep up the good work! Thanks!! -

Hello,
I wanted to know if there is a changelog/release notes for each release? I could not find them online, but maybe you know where to look at.
Since almost every X weeks a new driver drops, it would be nice to know what changed. For exmaple: "Drivers : 6.0.9003.1 WHQL [11/08/2020]", "Drivers : 6.0.9008.1 WHQL [18/08/2020]". A webpage or something similar would be helpful. Thank you. -

Hi there!
I don't know if I'm having an issue, but since last 2 updates of my SS3 drivers, I some times hear a "click" in my headsets (non Realtek related -- they are on external usb sound card) if using my microphone (related to Realtek as it is connected to the front audio panel as it has been for the last year).
Could it be something related to these last updates that interfere with my mic input?
Thanks in advance! -

Hi, MoKiChU !
Latest link for ASUS ROG/PRIME/TUF RTK MB is broken (404).
Can you please fix it. Thanks! -
09-08-2020, 01:58 PMpiratino
I'm so sorry to bother. I re-post my question as I still sometime have this clicks only when using my mic in messaging apps like Discord. Never had any issue before last two updates.
Ah! Having the same clicks also if using an output attached directly on the Realtek out.
These clicks are just a few..like 3 or 5 in a time laps of 10 minutes, only at beginning of mic use.
Is this something not new, or has it happened to someone?
Thank you. -

Hello Again MoKiChU and thanks one more time for the latest drivers :-)
I have a question please though. I've installed the drivers as usual by first uninstalling the Realtek Audio Control and both S3 apps then restarted and used the DriverStoreExplorer to remove all the traces for the a-volute | avolute | dts | hdx | realtek. Restarted again and installed the latest drivers 6.0.9008.1.
Now here is the question/issue. Because of small sound delay I start researching what could be the cause of the issue and I then noticed that in my Device Manager besides the Realtek Audio Drivers (under Sound. Video and Game Controllers) I also have a Realtek Digital Output under Audio Inputs and Outputs. While the Realtek Audio Drivers shows the latest version installed the Realtek Digital Output shows the version 10.0.18362.1 provided by Microsoft from 2019. I"using a Razer Leviathan 5.1 connected by and Optical cable if that helps explain anything. Last but not least what would be your recommendation? Optical or Aux? The Razer Leviathan have both options.
Thanks in advance for any input you may have.
