    Hi MokiChu,

can you please tell me which Driver is the correct one for my new ( 3 months) Asus G732-LWS Laptop, it maybe an SS variant but I thought it maybe better to ask , since you pointed me in the right direction for my old (X99 HDA) Desktop too.

Thanks once again for your help.

Hello! MoKiChU is such a problem with Sonic Studio 3 after installation 2-3 days pass (works well), but then when you start Sonic Studio 3 and a window pops up (the existing system is not supported, or the audio driver is not installed correctly. TIMEOUT). how to solve the problem?

Okay, I'm a bit confused, sorry. I found your Index with all those great driver threads, but I'm not sure which one to take for audio.

I have a "Asus Rampage V Edition 10" (x99 Board) and I think, I should take "Realtek Audio Drivers (HDA - ASUS ROG SSx MB) 6.0.8967.1 WHQL [09/06/2020]" from your thread here: https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthrea...-7x-8x-9x-1xx)

Or can I take "UAD - ASUS ROG SS3 MB) 6.0.9066.1 WHQL [17/11/2020]" with a higher version number + SS3 from here?: https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthrea...D-3xx-4xx-5xx)

Normally, I take HDA Drivers with FF03 (with Nahimic integration), but lately I just have no clue with all those possible downloads.

I want the latest drivers for my mainboard with highest possible Sonic Suite. I'm using Windows 7 Enterprise and those UAD were just for Win10, or not?

Thank you for all the work you put into those drivers and any helpful tip.

    Hi,

You both have an ASUS ROG SS3|DTS Sound Unbound motherboard, so :

You need Realtek Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3-DTS MB) from the first post of this thread.

Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow your UPDATE process.

    Note @Thrill4 :

    - If you don't want Third Party apps, just don't install them or uninstall them (for those that install automatically).
    - If you don't want Third Party drivers (but the equalizer in Realtek Audio Control/Console will not work), delete the ThirdParty folder from your drivers package folder (AUDIO_Realtek_UAD_ASUS_ROG_SS3-DTS_MB_v6.0.xxxx.x) then follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow your UPDATE process (always by deleting the ThirdParty folder).

Note @vulcanmist : Take into account the OS requirements from the first post of this thread :

I already followed your directions and reinstalled at least 5x, but it still won't work. Whenever I have it installed, it's not outputting audio. Only when I turn off signal enhancements in the Headphones Properties does it work. Of course, that removes the effect of Sonic Studio 3. I'm just sad right now. Can't get this feature to run properly.

    Long_Y0!
MoKiChU ty for keeping us updated.

P.S.: May be this will be interesting to some people - looks like starting from the latest version (6.0.9071.1) there's no option anymore to apply sound effectes via Realtek Audio Console when you don't install Sonic apps, previously you could install only Realtek Audio Console and keep away from Sonic Studio/Radar and you were able to set specific sound effects, today I updated to 6.0.9071.1 and there's no such options in Realtek Audio Control anymore.

    Hi there!

Haven't updated in a while. Have updated to last ASUS ROG SS3 with success. Everything works good, and as I can notice, even better. Now my Sonic Studio 3 works better with better filters.
Still the Speaker Configuration in the Realtek Audio Console doesn't keep my settings, but it always happens, and as I know, there is no way to export/import Realtek Audio Console settings.

    Thanks for everything!! ;)

Im having a real nightmare with the audio on my b550-e. Desktop and video volume is ok but gaming audio is terrible I have to apply the maximum amplification and extreme smart volume on sonic studio just to get acceptable volume (now my audio lacks direction and sounds fairly distorted)
Its almost like my volume is being limited by software. Ive tried these drivers, the windows drivers and now my current official drivers.
Ive tried fresh install bought new headphones tried various different windows tweaks but had no joy. *Im praying you have a solution for me mokichu as Im all out of ideas.

Headsets tried : sennheiser gsp 500 & Beyerdynamic dt 880.

    Thanks

Ps can you advise the correct driver just in case I have done something wrong.*

Note : Try by connecting your headsets via the ROG audio USB Type-C cable supplied with your motherboard (USB-C male end to be plugged into the female USB-C port next to your audio jacks, female jack end to be connected to the male jack port of your headsets).

Thanks for the response, Sadly I have no audio at the usb-c port so not sure what the type c cables function actually is. I also downloaded and installed your drivers as per your guide but for some reason had no audio after so I have reverted back to official drivers again for now.Â*

    Asus Rog Strix X570 Gaming - E : buggy as well ...
Thx for your effort and dedication, but I think the whole Windows Universal Driver **** doesnt work well with each update from store or windows drivers update ( which I've already disabled ), but still Nahimic component and A-Volute are kept being updated ...

I think Asus should reconsider working with Nahimic to provide the whole package for Extra Sound settings ... Coz nahimic 2, followed by 3 on Unified era is working well for ages from the start of Win10 Unified Driver ( it had it's bug, but it was fixed VERY QUICKLY ! And the same bug never appeared again. had a MSi board with ALC 1220 ), I understand SupremeFX is their own implementation of the ALC1220 codec but the sofware part sucks ?

For now, I can live with the basic Realtek Audio Control ...

Did the uninstalls, reboot, cleanup INF, reboot, reinstall with your batch in admin, reboot, disabling Sonic Virtual Mixer and finally, installing with MS Store

Still the same old problem : Sonic Studio 3 "timeout" bug, some ppl fixed by running some service again, I'll try that ...

Well according to some people, update for Nahimic on the Microsoft Store to version 1.5.4.0 makes everything bug ... Great I'll wait for a true fix from Asus. Idk if there's a reason for them to not update drivers AND forcing half of their package on the Windows Store being updated by force ...

    /!\ Note /!\

Before doing anything, check that you meet the OS requirements at the bottom of all my threads :

If you meet the OS requirements :

    - Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow your UPDATE process.

    - Verify that Sonic Studio Virtual Mixer is disabled :

    - If you have installed Sonic Studio III : Sonic Studio III > Record Studio > Virtual Mixer > Virtual Mixer : Off

    - If you haven't installed Sonic Studio III : Device Manager > Sound, video and game controllers > Right-click the Sonic Studio Virtual Mixer device and select Disable

THank you for your response, after following the steps again ensuring that virtual mixer is disabled I am still experiencing no sound output via onboard sound following these steps.

@Mokichu : Thanks for the MP, my problem was just Nahimic 3 itself ... It didnt removed himself when I've changed the Mainboard ( OK, I was lazy when I upgraded ... Well we are in 2020 and reinstall the OS each time is overkill nowadays, I did upgrade an Intel plateform on Win7 without reinstall it was working fine for the drivers ... )

Now everything works perfectly and Windows Update didn't kill SS3 so far ...
