Mr. MoKiChU--
My motherboard is the ROG STRIX Z390-E Gaming running Windows 10 ver. 1909.
The audio driver now installed is ver. 6.0.1.8666 dated 03/26/2019. I believe this might be the generic Realtek driver; the driver on ASUS’s support site for my MB has the same version number but a different date: 06/17/2019.
The audio on the computer is functional (sounds and music play), but I cannot start either Sonic Radar III or Sonic Studio III--I receive the error message “current system not supported or audio driver has not been properly installed”.
Based on my study of this issue on this forum, I believe I need to download and install ver. 6.0.9013.1 dated 08/25/2020, closely following the cleanup/install/update process you have prescribed.
HOWEVER, there is one possibly complicating issue: in January I had a problem with the service "NahimicSvc32.exe", which was repeatedly and unsuccessfully trying to load. It caused the swirling blue circle next to the cursor to appear every five seconds. The Event Viewer also had a long list of "faulting app" instances for "NahimicSvc32.exe." Therefore I have kept this service disabled.
My questions are, 1) have I identified the correct driver for my MB, and 2) if I carefully follow the cleanup/install/update process will the Nahimic service issue reappear?
Thank you very much for your assistance.

I was getting the Bluescreen when selecting playback two different audio streams simultaneously.
The fix that worked for me was to follow the initial cleanup instruction, leave my headphones unplugged. The booted back up, audio working on speakers, the go to enable two different audio streams simultaneously and it again picked up headphones and worked.
Hope that works for you too. -

I'm experiencing an annoying issue when selecting "playback two different audio streams simultaneously" from advanced settings in Realtek Audio Console. Every time i plug/unplug headphones Amplify Level goes automatically back to Extreme, even though I set it to Performance both for Speakers and for Headphones. First time I noticed this it scared the hell out of me because at maximum volume sound coming from my speakers was too loud and distorted. How can I fix this? I followed scrupoulously the cleanup and install processes, both with latest and second to last drivers, but nothing changed. Motherboard is Maximus XII Extreme.
EDIT Ok, this happens even when "playback two different audio streams simultaneously" is NOT selected, but randomly and only when I unplug headphones! This is really irritating, if I revert to ASUS website Drivers for my mobo can I hope the issue will disappear?
EDIT 2: so, it looks like the impedance sensor automatically sets the amplify level according to the device characteristics in terms of impedance, indeed. Isn't there a way to fix what a user wants to be set? -

Thank you for your prompt reply. May I ask for a quick clarification?
One of the instructions in your cleanup process is to uninstall "Realtek Audio Control." I do not have a program called exactly that, but I do have one called "Realtek Audio Console." (Please see the included screenshot.) Are they the same? Should I remove the Console as part of the cleanup?
Thanks.

Is this normal or not? Anybody with a z490 ROG board and latest drivers experiencing automatic Amplify level switching to match impedance sensor's readings regardless of what it is manually selected in Realtek Audio Console after plugging/unplugging headphones?

Hi MokiChU, thanks for the answer.
If I understood correctly what you suggested (but I'm not sure about that) it can certainly be considered a workaround, at least in part. The point is (but maybe I could be wrong) that you can bypass, in a sense, the sensor check on headphones impedance by occupying the jack port with the extension cable prior to connecting them to it, and by doing vice versa when unplugging them (first you unplug the headphones from the extension, and only then you unplug the extension cable itself from the jack port), so that no variation in impedance reading can change the Amplify level you set. But this works (at least for me) only if you hadn't enable before "Make front and rear output devices playback two different audio streams simultaneously", otherwise as soon as the jack port is occupied (even by the extension cable alone) and "Realtek HD Audio 2nd output" appears in the Console the Amplify level is set back to "Extreme" for both devices. Not to mention the fact that in this way you retain the "Performance" Amplify level for the speakers at the cost of having to manually change the parameter if you want a different Amplify level for your headphones (in my case "Extreme").
Another (pseudo-)solution I found is to activate, in Advanced Settings, "Disable front panel popup dialog", deactivate "Enable Jack detection when device is plugged in", and check "Make front and rear output devices playback two different audio streams simultaneously". By doing this every device remains always active (even 2nd output and microphone), so that whatever Amplify level you set stays like that for each device, no matter what you plug/unplug, since jack detection is disabled. But you have to manually switch between playback devices when you want to listen to headphones or speakers respectively, because after plugging/unplugging jack the switch won't be automatic anymore.
Am i missing something? I hope I didn't write anything too silly, and sorry for being a nuisance, but I just want to understand if I did something wrong. If I didn't, what I'm asking is: wouldn't it be possible to make user values simply override sensor readings no matter what? -

You can recover windows by using the recovery console under advance options. It's like using the old DOS console. Use the console to navigate to the windows/system32/drivers folder on whatever drive letter you have windows installed on. Once there use the "dir" command to list the files in the folder, you should see RTKVHD64.sys in the list. If its not then you are not using the right drive letter. Once you find it use the "delete" command on the RTKVHD64.sys file. Then the "dir" command after to verify it was deleted. It should no longer be in the list. Use the "exit" command to leave the recovery console and then reboot. Windows should boot-up fine but you will need to uninstall the realtek/avolute drivers with driver store explorer.
For more information on using the recovery console just search "recovery console commands" on google. -

Forgive me but I didn't see a reply to this.
I am now running the latest version of the driver from the 2nd link in the 1st post.
Sonic Studio III works like a charm, Radar III crashes as soon as it starts.
But my biggest problem is that with any driver that IS for this mobo (x570-E) every program or app I try to open (or maximize from the tray for the first time, after the first time, they open fast), delays very very very much!
When I had the wrong driver from Asus' site, everything was opening the instant I clicked on them, to the point I thought I had a new pc! But couldn't get Studio and Radar to run at all!
Now weather I try the original driver from Asus or any of the drivers here, I get this annoying delay when opening...everything! -

09-24-2020, 07:59 PMHGnDCWhy are driver updates so frequent?
At the risk of betraying my lack of technical expertise, I 'd like to ask why these updates come so frequently. What's the best strategy on updates? Installl them all as they come out, or, once you've found a stable one, just stick with it?
Thanks. -

As long as I can remember (since back in early pre-SP1 Vista days), I don't recall ever seeing an audio driver update actually do anything. Sound still came out the speakers the same way it did before; not worse nor better. Even on my current PRIME X470-PRO motherboard, I haven't seen any driver "update" do anything, regardless of where it came from (this post, MUC, ASUS). I don't use any software EQ though, so it's possible drivers really only affect that.
In my case, I keep updating just to know I have up-to-date drivers :p -

Works great for me! Many thanks for providing these.
I see DTS DtsApo4Service.exe 1.5.3.0 Application app crashes in my reliability history but they don't appear to affect anything. Wondering if it is when I shut frown, which I have been doing a lot.
Had no issue enabling two audio streams simultaneously on 6.0.9030.1 (though I haven't used that). Never had any BSOD on any versions. -

If the drivers work fine, people likely won't say anything :p I believe it's largely like that with anything. Like with video games, people who are happy are going to be playing the game, whereas people who aren't happy will be on the forums complaining or review-bombing.
ASUS doesn't make it easy to sign-up on their forum or to even post either. Had to wait a day or two for my account to be manually activated, and Google captcha for every post is annoying to deal with since it wants to intentionally fail the first two tries. If I hadn't wanted to ask which driver to be using for my motherboard, I wouldn't have an account on these forums or be providing feedback.
But in my case, I enjoy these drivers; they're provided in a nice lightweight package, and seemingly are more up-to-date than any other source I know of. Thanks for providing them! -

MoKiChU,
I think you underestimate how many people are much more than satisfied (and, unfortunately, silently appreciate) your efforts. I realize how much work it is and I hope you choose to continue this valuable effort.
Best regards -

Trust me, there are way more happy people than unhappy, maybe 3% of them unhappy, but those unhappy will post regularly, while happy users will just enjoy with drivers and music experience. Hundreds of users are downloading drivers from here, and maybe couple of them are unhappy and complain, so when you look at those statistic it is clear, happy users are majority, about 98%. Like someone else said, happy users install drivers and enjoy, they don't bother posting here so this should be your motivation, You help a lot of people, and i recommended you and your drivers to many people. Sorry for bad english, i dind't have english in school unfortunately.

But that is always the case. Sure you are doing this on your own time, gratis, and I get that, they probably don't. You, as a provider, should ignore that. I think your subscribers should, as you point out, that they have no issue, but also an appreciation that this is a time consuming effort that you provide with no compensation except thanks.
Maybe you could put a note on the first page to this effect . I would certainly endorse that.
And again, thanks. -

Hello,
all of your last drivers worked fine on my board (ASUS ROG-Strix B360-I Gaming and newest win10 version). I had no problems.
Thank you very much for your great support.
