MoKiChU has already explained that he only provides the Drivers ONLY. If you install from the Asus support page or through Armoury Crate then it install an Uninstaller and other unnecessary junk which adds registry entries that Armoury Crate uses to determine the versions that you have installed. To me, when it comes to Realtek, a driver only approach is much cleaner than the extra junk that is installed through an installer.

    Hello to everyone.

I'm having an interesting Driver issue.
My Motherboard Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Hero.
I did a clean install of the system. I have installed all the drivers in order.

Sonic Studio 3, the sound software of my motherboard, was also installed without any problems.
I even recorded a sound profile that I created myself.
But after a few days of installation, Sonic Studio 3 would not open.
When I click to open the application interface, I get the warning "sonic studio 3 the current system is not supported".

When I completely remove and reinstall the sound card, the problem goes away. I don't think the problem is hardware. Sound Card software seems to be incompatible with Windows 10 21H2.

What would you suggest I do?
Should I turn off the automatic update of the sound card?

    How to solve this problem?

Many drivers were shared on the first page, but I did not know which one to install.
I would be glad if you help.

    - Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process
    - Use this SS3 Cleaner tool (Right click on "A-Volute_SS3_Cleanup.exe" > Run as administrator) then restart your PC
    - Follow scrupulously your INSTALL process.

For the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow the UPDATE process.

Then I will install the driver you shared.
Of course, I will remove the current driver as you said for a clean install first.
Is it possible for me to have problems after all these procedures?

I'm having a similar problem in Armory Crate.
When Armory Create upgraded, it also caused some problems.
It starts without problems, but sometimes I get a "services could not be installed" warning at startup.

I guess asus does not adapt these softwares to the new windows update when new windows updates come.

Hi, excuse my ignorance, my motherboard is a Asus ROG Strix X570-F and I'm using the driver available in the driver&tools download page:

    Version 6.0.9088.1
    2021/05/12 576.07 MBytes
Realtek Audio Driver V6.0.9088.1 For Windows 10 64-bit.
Improve system stability & Support Windows 10 latest version.

Could you tell me if that one is correct?

    Thanks,

Anything is possible, I'm not a guesser, but if you don't let Armoury Crate update your drivers (and more precisely the Realtek Audio Drivers), chances are you won't have any more issues, indeed.

The installation method used by ASUS can actually cause conflicts with Windows Update.

The driver packages I offer are drivers only, using an Microsoft official install method (via Microsoft PnPUtil), which are Windows Update Ready (i.e. even if Windows Update updates an item of the drivers package, it will not generate any conflict or other oddities).

I will install as you said.
First I will remove the old driver and clean it with SS3_Cleaner.
    Then;
    AUDIO_Realtek_UAD_ASUS_ROG_SS3-DTS_MB_v6.0.9191.1
I will run Install.cmd from inside the file and install it as administrator.
Lastly, from the links you shared.
I will install Realtek Audio, Sonic Studio and Sonic Radar applications.

I hope I don't have the same problem again.
    Because it's very frustrating.

Apart from that, uninstalling and installing Armory Crate is really tedious. Because when I Uninstall and reinstall, the motherboard does not see the RGB lights. Or it happens that it does not see the keyboard or mouse light along with the motherboard.
I have to format the windows to get it back to the way it was.

Is it possible that Raltek 6.0.9191.1 driver conflict with nvidia 471.11 driver?
After realtek driver update I have flickering imagem in games.
I restored a macrium backup with realtek 6.0.8960.1 and will test for some days and return the results here.

    Hi,

I can understand that people blame quickly my drivers packages when they have the slightest issue, but there clearly, you have a flicker display issue and you blame audio drivers ... Look at the NVIDIA GPU drivers side rather (try the latest 471.22 HotFix) : [DRIVERS] NVIDIA GeForce GPU (9xx/10xx/16xx/20xx/30xx).

Sorry for that, but The fact is, after realtek dirver CLEANUP and INSTALL process the issue started, and I have flicker even in windows using youtube.

Returning the last backup the issue is gone.

So I asked about any conflict, because NVidia driver has some audio components too...

I'll try all processes again and now using NVidia hotfix and tell you.

Only Right Speaker from 5.1 has playback (STILL)
I took a break from this problem as i had a 1030 that was overheating and i just got a 3060 that I am trying to keep cool. Thanks to NVIDIA the speakers stopped working completely. So i had to go through the process of uninstalling the drivers anyway. But the issue has not changed at all or not much better as the original problem.
After deleting driver and reinstall with latest package posted. I am back to having Right speaker louder than the rest. And the sub plays back on the Test playbacks for one of the left speakers.
I used the DTS SS SS3 for ROG as i have a Dark Hero. Please help. This is out of the box problem. Maybe i try to go for reinstall of clean install windows next.
    Feedback welcome.

I dont even see a line in or line out in sound settings in windows. All my usb headphones work fine. Am I missing something? Should I be installing something else. I do see the realtek hd audio driver installed in add remove programs list.

@ Everyone who report issues : I remind you that I do not work for ASUS :

    - If your issue occurring with drivers from your motherboard support page (and therefore that it is not specific to the drivers that I propose) : Open a ticket with ASUS Support.
    - If your issue didn't occurring with drivers from your motherboard support page : CLEANUP process then install/use the drivers package from your motherboard support page.

While you do not work for ASUS judging by all the people you are helping simply by repackaging the drivers and the amount of people that are being attracted to this post with issues that are not being solved by simply following the initial process i figured you may know something that may help. If this was the wrong assumption that you could or are willing to help i am sorry just like i am sorry that i bought this board.
I contacted ASUS support. They asked if I had latest BIOS. 3501 is installed on my machine although 3601 beta is out. Then they asked me did i reinstall drivers. Then they asked did i try other speakers which i did.
Then they ask if i want to RMA.
Asus did not confirm that i went to the correct place for the drivers. They did not check to make sure i uninstalled them a certain way. They did not check to see if it would work if i went about it another way.
Essentially this could still be a driver issue but they are telling me to dismount my cpu and cooler, pack up my mobo and send it to them for a hardware diagnosis.
There are people on this thread with issues similar to mine and people on other threads with the same or similar asus boards that claim the issue is related to realtek and windows 10. Such as but not limited to this thread https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthrea...speakers/page2

My course of action will be to do a clean reinstall of windows 10 and then try 7 if that does not work before pursing RMA. To anybody who believes they are having driver issues, you can start a ticket but don't expect ASUS to be helpful. If i find any solution i will post back on the thread to help anybody who has problem. If i do RMA and it turns out to be hardware issue i will also report to give reference to anybody trying to get their hardware to work properly.

Don't install the Realtek drivers from the Asus downloads page. Doing so will lock you into only being able to use drivers from that downloads page, and Asus doesn't update them very often, while mokichu always provides the latest. Just install the right ones in first post for your mb. No need to do the cleanup procedure. However, should you have problems or just want drivers guaranteed to work w your mb, then stick with Asus downloads page.

Here's something I've always wondered... Mokichu, are these drivers still specific to Asus? I ask b/c there are a couple .inf files w/Asus in the name (HDXASUS.inf, HDX_AsusExt_AVO_RTK.inf) and a subdirectory called OEM_INF_Extension_-_ASUS. But if I look at the contents of the .inf files, I don't see any reference to anything Asus. So I wonder, would this driver package work for any mb w/same feature set or only for Asus boards?

And thanks for all your hard work!

I looked at the support page of your motherboard and saw that these drivers will not work with your motherboard. These driver versions start with 6.0. The drivers from the support page start with 6.3. This means that you should be using the USB drivers in the USB Realtek driver thread.

Ok, so I went on our other computer with a Asus Prime z390a motherboard. I see that it has Realtek High Definition Audio driver installed. Only the Usb realtek driver is installed on mine.

Also, the realtek audio console immediately opened on the other pc with the correct driver installed. I have removed everything 3-4 times and reinstalled the asus site drivers 2284 and 2286. I am at a complete loss right now. The software sonic radar and studio are installing, and the realtek console, but obviously the HIGH DEF AUDIO DRIVER is not installing?

If none of this works then that is because there is no Realtek driver for it. The driver from the support page only shows the USB driver. Get ahold of customer support and ask them why that is.

Ok. So I have removed the High Definition Audio Device which is the only one in the device manager that is generic that doesnt say nvidia etc. Also, could the nvidia audio drivers cause a issue or conflict? Anyway, I have removed the usb driver or uninstalled it from control panel, I will attach pic. After removing that, I uninstalled sonic studio and radar along with realtek audio console (apps). Realtek audio console wont connect to the rpc service because there is NO UAD driver is what im reading and being told.

I then cleaned everything out with driver explorer. rebooted, installed the package you gave me and I have tried the asus website package which Im attaching a pic of. I have even tried the other package Mokichi posted on the other thread for this motherboard.

To be clear, the audio of the motherboard is working. I use a corsair headset for gaming anyway. I have a corsair ST100 headset holder plugged into the motherboard via usb, then my void pro headset plugs into the holder via usb. So the usb audio has worked out of the box. Of course that could just be standard usb working period.

Ill attach a pic of the ONLY playback devices I am forced to use or that are options. One is my headset, the other is the headset stand, the other is my samsung g7 faker. I have also been asked if my device was enabled in the bios. I have looked and the only thing to enable or disable as far as audio in the bios is the usb audio. Not sure if I disable the usb audio, would I get the front panel HD audio option or the rear panel.

I should have the option of a Realtek high defintion audio device in game controllers in device manager, and I should have something with realtek on it in the bottom right of windows under sounds. I should also see in the control panel of windows a realtek audio console or speakers etc to choose. Sonic radar nor studio wont load and gives me a error because it doesnt see a driver to use. that has been problem since day one. Like you said, is the UAD driver actually packaged or only the USB driver? but I have used your download you just gave me and the one from here:https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthrea...amp-AMD-TRX40)

the drivers you have me did install, but still nothing. PICS:

Does it work?

If it doesn't work then disconnect all other audio devices (Not the Nvidia devices), Uninstall all other audio software from Corsair and all other software and drivers related to audio that you have plug in. Unplug all audio related devices. Use Device driver explorer and delete all Realtek. Reboot and install the Realtek drivers first and see if it works. Don't plug-in or install anything else but Realtek related drivers and software. If that doesn't work then RMA your motherboard.

No tried that yesterday. Forced the driver onto that device which is intel. It crashed windows. Had to finally restore just to get back into windows. A new board is on the way.

Like I said, RMA your motherboard. It looks like you tried everything under the sun. So, all you can do is RMA your motherboard.

Anyway, I hope you enabled all audio in the BIOS. I would not be happy with myself if I forgot to enable audio in the BIOS....lol

I have looked numerous times in this bios, but I have only found the usb audio to enable or disable. If you know where the onboard audio is or anyone else does, by all means let me know. I have been in there three times and looked everywhere.
