Yes, many people have that problem, internet connection drops & have packet loss and slow Up/Download speeds. Its the silicon and Intel cant do much about it. They say the fix works 100% & its fixed in the next revisions of the silicon but there are people with them that still have the same problems. Only thing that works but its not 100% fix is to flash NVM to 1.45 (even if you already did it). Im posting the fix and the thread on Intel Forum. I will make a separate post because this is important.

Interesting, and thanks for sharing.
Does anybody know if these issues might happen with I21x-V (1.0GbE) Intel ethernet adapters as well? I have a Ethernet Intel® I219-V 1.0Gbit Lan adapter, and some times I encounter internet connection drops & have packet loss and slow Up/Download speeds.
I have recently passed to fiber cable (have changed home internet connection, but provider is the same), and as far that I have learn only my pc is affected. Nwither my 2 other laptops I have in the house and my smartphones have any of that.
Thanks for the help. -

Hi MoKiChU,
Here I am again with a request about I225 chip.
As you know the INF file created a reoccurring event 27 issues and updates were eventually out creating a fix.
Unfortunately, this issue is happening with the new I225 chip. I get Event 27
The description for Event ID 27 from source e2fexpress cannot be found.
Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted.
The only issue is that the message now is e2dexpress
Here is the ID of the Chip
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_15F3&SUBSYS_87D21043&REV_03
Isa there a fix for .INF to stop errors?
Thanks -

Hi MoKiChU,
Nope that didn't work. I saw in an other thread that it seems to be an .inf config.
If you find anything let me know.
Thanks.
BTW a bunch of VSS errors  -

Where do we find the firmware updates for Intel Lan? I mean the Asus support page for XII Formula clearly says:
"Intel(R) Gigabit Ethernet Driver V1.0.1.4 for Windows 10 64-bit.
Before installing Intel I225-V driver v.1.0.1.4, please ensure that Intel I225-V firmware should be updated to v.1.45 via firmware update tool. After finishing necessary firmware update, please shut down and unplug the power cord then reboot the system normally. For more information, please refer to the firmware update guide."
Yet no where in the downloads and the bios/FW tab does it say anything about lan fw. I ran intel's driver and support assistant but it says everything is up to date.
I also for the life of me can't seem to find where it states what FW my Intel Lan has currently. With all the talk of the i225 causing so many issues I'm currently using the Marvel Lan after swapping from XI Formula/9900K to XII Formula/10900K so it's a fresh upgrade. -
02-28-2021, 05:46 AMscgt1
So I guess the FW update was with the download for 1.0.1.4. I ran it shut down killed the psu power waited and then installed the FW. I have a 200meg connection that generally I get 220-230 out of. Well less then 3meg is what I'm getting using speed test and a 30ping when normal is low teens. Rebooted and retested 13 ping and 30meg down. So rolled back to what windows installed which is 1.0.2.6 instead of the 1.0.2.8 on the first post and going to give it a whirl.
That looks like the trick. My XII Formula doesn't like the 1.0.2.8 i225 drivers on the first post but likes 1.0.2.6 that windows slaps in. Go figure.
Nope that didn't do the trick. Just ran it again 29 ping 2.23 down. WTF. I'm about to pull the plug on the Intel nic and go with the Marvel. This is a joke not to mention a PITA! -

Well what a crap shoot this has been have random 5% packet loss and inconsistent speedtest runs on Intel. Switch to Marvel and lord 30-35% packet loss. Don't really want to use wifi considering this is my game rig and the router is in the same room so would much rather be hard wired but this is pathetic.

Well got it all sorted I think finally. Was getting about 5% random packet loss with Intel and 30-35% with Marvel. Got the newest drivers installed for both finally and no packet loss although Marvel is kinda all over the place with 100 as the test.

Is anyone having issues with Drivers - I22x-V (2.5GbE) : 1.0.2.13 WHQL [06/01/2021]? I know this network adapter has had it's issues I'm on .8 right now without any issue. Don't want to create issues if there has been reports of problems with the newest driver. LOL

Thanks - I right clicked the .inf and installed it. Rebooted, but no luck. The driver doesn't seem to work/take effect.

Hello there!
Have you ever experienced issues in LAN speed like if you were going to fast-ethernet 100 Mbs ??
I am having a strange behaviors, like if I'm limited as on Speedtest I get between 80 and 90 Mbs on both upload and download, while I should go at 800 Mbs as I am on fiber FTTH.
I was able to go to those speed, but since a while (and I frankly don't know from when) I can't anymore.
It is not my internet speed as with my laptop with gigabit ethernet and connected to the modem with the cable like the pc I am able to reach 800 Mbs.
EDIT: forgot to mention that in the Advanced features of the drivers properties, under Speed & Duplex I have Auto Negotiation set as default.
If I try to force it to 1.0 Gbps Full Duplex I get no connection, and the icon of my ethernet adapter in Dial-Up Networking has a red big X on it, being unable to connect to the lan network.
If I force it to 100 Mbps Full Duplex, everything works perfectly.
And my cables and router are still the as always, never did any hardware change.
Any suggestions on what I could try?
Thank you in advise. -

Drivers - 9xxx/AX2xx : 22.60.0.6 WHQL is available. MoKiChU, are you able to provide this version here? Right now I can get it via Windows Insiders Windows (Optional) Updates.

Upgrading my Z490-G Gaming i225-V driver to 1.0.2.13 breaks it - no hardware conflicts but computer wont connect to the internet. Reverting back to 1.0.0.14 from the Asus site fixes it. Intel and maybe Asus really messed up on the i225-V.

Hello MoKiChU.
I am encountering an issue that I am unable to fix. My ASUS ROG STRIX Z370-G GAMING (WI-FI AC) pc can't connect to my LAN network at higher speeds rather than 100 Mbs.
Speedtest.net gives me results of about 89 Mbs in download and 93 Mbs in upload.
Some time ago I was able to go to 1000 Mbs with results of 730 Mbs in download and 190 Mbs in upload, but after a while I am not able anymore.
I have tried to connect another computer to same LAN cable and everything works perfectly with high speeds as it was before with the ASUS Z370 computer.
Only thing I have done in this period of times is update your drivers every time you released it.
EDIT: Other thing that I can say is that if in the ethernet device properties I change the Speed & Duplex from Auto Negotiation to to 1.0 Gbps Full Duplex, the device does not connect to the lan, giving back a red X on the ethernet device. If I put it back to Auto Negotiation or set it to 100 Mbps Full Duplex, it connects flawlessly.
LAN and cable are 1.0 Gbps compliant, and as a demonstration, connecting another computer that is 1.0 Gbps compliant, this second computer goes to 1.0 Gbps.
I frankly don't if all this is driver related as I have also tried to roll back to some of your old drivers, leading me at no success, so if you might have any idea on what to check or how to find a fix, please let me know.
Best regards and thank you for your great work. -

If Asus kept up on drivers, we wouldn't have such a thread and MoKiChU would be saving the world in another way.
