Would the laptop try and start up if the graphics card dies, some pc's show fault sequences with lights, does this laptop have anything similar?

There is nothing showing on screen at all, I also tried plugging it into my TV HDMI just incase but still no signal.

Hi, this morning it was working fine, I finished downloading some Steam games and turned it off fine, come this afternoon, I try to fire it back up again, I get nothing, just a black screen, nothing....

Ah, damn, ok, thanks for the info, it saved me taking the laptop apart.

Now to think, do I want to change the LCD or the mobo to make it look ok again?
