You can just uninstall SS3 and use the Realtek Audio Control apps EQ.
The only advantage for a gamer to use SS3, is the upmix/surround function, that basically does the same as the Dolby Access apps...

The failure is on your end, either you're grabbing drivers for the wrong chipset, or the wrong FFxx version(example FF00, FF03, FF06 and so on).
