Looks like I can slide my res another inch toward to front so I should be able to fit a 980. I forgot about the brackets I modded for the res to attatch it to the HD cage.

Is more cores gained by overclocking the chip or does it physically contain more of whatever these things are.

Well a pair of 780s doesn't cost very much more than a pair of 4GB 770s IMO. So it will definitely come down to the best deal I can get. Although I can see a rog swift monitor...
