Took some time, Z270-A and family just got a new bios, lets hope Z170-A will follow soon too.

Lighting_Control_1.05.28 + GPUTweak2_Ver1591 + AI_Suite_III_3.00.10 builds from 20-Dec-2017, at first it still gives UAC prompts, but later all is fine and clean, no popups.

After a second reinstall and several reboots UAC no longer popup with updates from 20-Dec-2017

Yes, still get UAC prompts but they are more random now, in other words they do happen, but not on every boot. I am clueless at the moment as to why this might be happening.

Tried to install very recent AURA lightning update for a Z270 board on to a Z170 board.
No UAC prompts, but fails with an error that X99 hardware is not supported ?! What?
But the 'classic' Z170...

Bummer, still no proper solution for this gpufanhelper at windows statup problem.

Yes, all at XMP in UEFI, but the switch on the mother board is off (no forced auto XMP)

11.8.50.3399 is out, but it is recommended to have 11.8 already in bios before update. Any brave testers ?

Which version of the ME FW are you referring to ? I see at least 2 different files floating on the web. One is from a Z370 chipset board, and since it's power lines are different, it makes sense...

No problems here, for me 3503 fixed it, and 3504 works fine too for 2666 stock ram.
Several previous versions had all sort of problems they introduced and 2400 was about as good as it could get with...

Have been using a software patch to install microcode update on 6700K under Win10 and in some respect it did have some positive effect in some games but seems to be causing a major problem here....

Asus has rolled out a bunch of updates on 21-st for Z170 range, check them out! BIOS, Drivers and utils...
