Omega here with 10980xe (previous 7980xe) and bios 3105, after bios 3006, no problems at all, manually overclocked memory.

Some mates here should not say it is bios fault, but his fault mixing xmp...

Not long ago some mates at OC.NET discussed about speedshift, which is nothing more nothing less than an enhanced speedstep. Basically, it allows the cpu to increase speed faster.

I used Aquantia for gaming without a single issue.

I am saying it is a nonsense to mix XMP and manual frequency. That's not the way XMP is built.

Curiously, your pics don't show right part of bios, so we don't know which is the frequency really...

U can try 100 different bios's, but if u use XMP at the same time u increase memory frequency manually, or increase system agent and vccio too much, your system is calling up for problems.

I checked and that link is correct.

Bios also contains latest updates except for 50656 cpus, whose latest microcode is f01 while in this bios is f00 (not important at all).

3006 is a good bios for memory overclock and stability, better than previous bios's in Omega's case.

Upload pics of the whole configuration in your bios, to see the values Omega is applying. Without these images, this thread is a no go.

That is something u must check for yourself. The best bios will be that which causes less problems, don't know which in your case since I didn't try it myself.

If Zen3 is as good as promised, AMD is the way to go... And even right now if u need 24 or more cores...

Obviously both Skylake-x and Cascade Lake-x can be used in a x299 motherboard, like the Encore, that's why the bios's include both microcodes for SKX and CLX. Summing up, u can install from a 7980xe...

Latest Asus bios's for x299 mainboards (3006 for example in Omega board) solved the microcode error trying to boot operating systems.

So in case u are not using the latest version with updated...
